The occasional US import like Seaquest DSV which wasn't that bad for it's time either

Also forgot the rented newly released film from Blockbuster/Choices you would watch afterwards after eating the takeaway with some pick n mix from Woolworth's. I want to go back to the 90's you can have your iphoney and under-armour branded underwear as well as shitflix give me back my Ferguson cinderblock of a tv with Noels House Party on..rant over

This isn't a Saturday night prime time example..however..

There was a tv show I used to watch as a teenager called "desperately seeking something". I think it was on a Sunday evening. It was presented by a comedian called pete mccarthy. One week he'd live with a tribe in the sararah desert, next week he'd live with some pagans in the middle of rural wales etc.

It was like a travel show but he was really funny at the same time. Had a very dry northern sense of humour. Which I liked..

I believe he started out as a stand up comedian as a duo with michael myers, long before myers became famous for wayne's world.

Mccarthy unfortunately died young.

In the last years of his life he wrote a couple of travel books which I'd recommend. ( Very funny.)
