Businesses obviously have control over who is permitted in their premises and what standards of behaviour etc they expect. They will be influenced by their legal liabilities, including your potential to sue them, claiming for damages, from injury etc. it's feasible that you could lose your mobility, after you stand on something that penetrates you |

Thanks for the educated answer.. Guess you right..
but surely it should be my choice rather than the establishment, after all same could happen with toe less sandles say or strappy shoes on a woman.. Plus given weekends amount of women walking shoes off cus 👠 killing feet obviously.
Do wonder if was a woman with bare feet in an establishment.. if would be the same reaction as is when it a man |

"Come on mate you can't be going in buisness's bare footed."
How so?
In Totnes lots folks bare footed and businesses don't mostly care... Same mostly in Cornwall.
See thought Glastonbury would be like that given all the druids, hippies etc but seemed not

guess it's a cultural thing?
I've spent a lit of time in parts of the world where it's normal. Even in Australia it was fairly normal to walk in a city barefoot (20 years ago).
Whatever, innit. |

It really does depend on where you're from, doesn't it? I'm from South Africa, where people go barefoot all the time. I was amused at my daughter's first school sports days that all the kids wore trainers. We used to run barefoot at athletics right up until the end of senior school. People walking barefoot into a shop isn't considered dirty at all.
It's all down to cultural sensibilities and what you've used to. |

"What's the worse thing you've trodden on in bare feet?
Mine is a dead mouse.
Dog shit, smooshed between my toes.
Think that beats a dead mouse."
Why are you beating dead mice?
Eggs are much better. |

That's a great point you have made, some parts of the world many bare footed out of choice and agree running is better bare foot than in trainers... Didn't zola budd (spelling?) run bare footed in the Olympics and won if memory serves me right 🤔 |

"For people saying it's dirty - what the fuck do you think is in the bottom of your shoes or trainers?
Dumb as fuck response tbh."
It's weird and dirty. I don't walk around my house with shoes on so what's your point? |
