Anyone hear about the woman who got run over by a bus a couple of days ago? Seems she was adamant she was going to catch that particular bus, even though it had already left the stop, she tripped/slipped while chasing it and somehow landed under the rear wheels. Not withstanding the tragedy of losing her life, there were a load of her co workers on the bus who saw, very clearly, exactly what happened. not only were/are the passengers hugely traumatised, that bus driver will probably never ever get behind the wheel of a bus ever again. All because she couldn't bare to wait all of 7 minutes for the next bus. Really is tragic, but ffs! 7 minutes till the next bus and you're willing to risk your life chasing after one?

I suspect she had no idea she was risking her life. Accidents happen.

Very sad.

It's one thing that people don't realise about buses though, once they pull away, they are not allowed to stop again to pick up latecomers. If they're caught doing that, atleast where I'm based, they will get seriously in trouble.

I feel sorry for the driver and the passengers. I hope they all recover from this horrible situation.

Same in Notts, once you pull away, that's it, she apparently refused to accept that and ran after the bus, for at least 20 ft, He was turning the corner when she fell under. The forensics team left their marks on the road for to to see. literally less than ten minutes to the next bus and she chose to chase after it

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

Sadly, most people are immortal, until they aren’t. I doubt she ever thought she was in any danger.

Tragic.

The drivre was hysterical, screaming in the cab, refused to leave it because he couldn't bare facing the mess. I doubt he will ever drive a bus again. What's really sad is that people just carry on as if nothing had happened, they continue to walk out if front of buses, almost like they are daring the driver to run them over.
