Incidentally, a Sunderland fan 606 made a brilliant freudian slip, talking about Di Canio's tactics. He said: 'If you're right-footed, he'll put you on the right wing, but if you're left-footed, you go on the right wing.' |

Sunderland fan here and only one team really turned up.
Usually it's SAFC when we play at SJP.
Pardew made tactical blunders rushing back three players too soon and Cabaye just didn't fancy it at all which was key I think.
Overall I have been impressed with the Mags I have spoken to who have just held their hands up and said the best team won ON THE DAY. Obviously the OP has a better insight |

the best team won, there was only ever 1 team on that pitch, and as for saying your safe, you are far from safe even after last nights result it helps both of us but its still very open, anyone from sunderland, newcastle, wigan, stoke, aston villa and norwich is going to take that last place to go down. |

"says a bloke from Cardiff, what have you done late ,,,oh yeah welcome to the premier league mate lol
LOL yep, Cardiff just can't decide yet if they are replacing the Toon or The Mackems....personally I think its between wigan and stoke but its going to go to the wire "
For what it's worth I hope both Newcastle & Sunderland stay up as I very much enjoy going to watch my beloved Liverpool playing at both stadiums, even if at Newcastle I need Oxygen by the time i get to the top of the stairs and binoculars to watch the game, in fact on occasion I'm sure I've seen Sunderlands place from my seat at St James...
Given the choice between Wigan & Stoke, I'll choose Stoke to go down because a) Stokes ground is freezing cold in the middle of summer, never mind winter, b) Liverpool never seem to be able to get a good result there and c) we get more tickets to watch the team play at Wigan than we do at Stoke.
My Mum's side of the family are from Newcastle too (Forest Hall originally and nowadays around Chester-le-Street) so I do have a little soft spot for The Geordies, plus before & after the game it's always a good laugh in town. |

"0-6 got to be worried now."
Thanks Newcastle, I so enjoyed that game last night. Sincerely hope you stay up for many reasons but most of all to let us get our full 6 points next year rather than just the 4 |
