So this one is for my fellow geeks, is anyone on here into playing Dungeons and Dragons, I would love to be able to find a new group of people to play with as I used to really enjoy it but it seems that my old group can never seem to organise meeting up to carry on playing, I would love to see if anyone here is into it and is interested in maybe making up a group |

I play a fair amount of pathfinder, quite hard organising good sessions though due to eveyone at work who plays are shift workers so trying to get a day everyone can make is tricky so campaigns generally start but never get finished
Trying to get to grips with pathfinder
2nd edition, too early to say whether I am fan

Never played D and D itself but played other games like Warhammer, fighting fantasy books. Love the whole fantasy setup, and worlds created. Great crossover with fab, half dressed heroines tied up in ropes/chains or tacking on a challenge, men playing with thier staffs 😋 |

I started playing basic D&D back in the 80s, when it was still published by TSR. Progressed to 2nd Ed AD&D before they got bought and rebranded as D&D again. Played, DMed, wrote convention modules, organised at 5 conventions. Eventually taught my daughter.
I have the 5th Ed rulebooks, but my heart is back in the late 90s with 2nd Ed.
Haven't played in years.

Started with The Red Box, and have been through every edition change since original release. I am, for want of a better term, a "Forever GM".
Played Pathfinder, VtM, WFRP, 7th Sea, and more systems than I can care to imagine. I have several large cupboard/wardrobes with multiple shelves, groaning with hundreds and hundreds of modules, systems, campaign notes and lord knows what else.

It is, but not quite a insane as 2nd/3rd edition, where a dice pool of 20 or more dice was not uncommon. I might see 12-13 dice perhaps.
OTOH, there can be a lot of satisfaction picking up a bucket load of dice for a hit roll
6th Edition Core + Seattle Book or 6th Ed Core + Berlin have the latest errata and are very playable systems now. |
