Obviously it's not only cat food but it's amazingly expensive now.
Perhaps if they spent less on unnecessary packaging and fancy foil packs they could make it far cheaper.
We've actually started giving our fur babies tinned tuna it actually works out cheaper than cat food. |

Ive read that too much tinned tuna can actually cause them issues in the long term. So id try mixing it up a little for them.
But i agree the little foil packs are really annoying and need recycling at special recycling points. Surely they should have come up with a better alternative by now 🤔 |

Yeah we alternate, cheap food gives them the shits.
And being fussy assholes they get fed up with stuff and don't eat it.
They are in control |

Tuna is not good for cats, lacks taurine (I think) so should only be a treat.I get Purina Gourmet pouches off Amazon, 40 pouches for £16.Plus Felix soups,48 for £15 and Whiskas complete from Pets at home, two big bags for a tenner |

I got a real bargain from Tesco recently. 40 pack of Sheba for £4 as box was damaged.
38 packs of Felix for £3.50. damaged box and 3 missing packs.
After ages being a fussy fucker, my little orange devil has started to eat whatever I feed him. I looked after a friend's cat for the weekend who is a right food monster and will scoff anything. So mine lost his food if he got too picky. |

About a month ago I got smoked salmon for myself and the cat was suddenly my best friend, until I opened it and she gave me a look of utter distain. “What the fuck is this shit? Sainsburys? Really? Get to fucking M&S, don’t try and fob me off with that Waitrose crap.”
I think it’s making up for the Felix I normally get. |

One of my neighbours may be in court soon
A lady down the street has 7 cats which use his garden, and he has been accused of leaving poisened food out for them. Seems he told someone in the pub and words got round
Dont shoot the messenger, just stating what some people do |

My old neighbour poisoned one of our cats.
It was not a nice way for kitty to go.

Too much tuna isn’t good for them you would be better with sardines |

"10 cats 4.50 x2 every day yeah it sucks.
I thought I had it bad feeding my 6 cats!
Perks of living with meh mum...
I need my own place!!!" think my kids think that.
13 cats here... but thankfully they are all on dried food. But it's gone up a lot over the last 4 years... for my bengals I tend to get cheap yellow sticker meat too |

I always buy the 40/48 boxes on Amazon, and if you subscribe you get a 5-15% discount.
They were on Purina pouches, until they went up to 19 quid a box, it's now 11.89 for 40 pouches - in gravy.
Tried them on the new Whiskas duo, much more affordable at around 12 quid.
Really depends what's on offer and they like a bit of variety.
White fish, chicken and tuna as a treat! |
