October. It was okay, might repeat. Maybe.
Yes I do. I quite like dating. As in the act of going on dates and dating a person.
I don't have a set date. I do really want to have a festive date. With mandatory knitwear of some kind. |

Dating is terrifying, I'd rather stay in my single bubble. But if I had too, something fun for the first date.. keep it light, don't wanna be forced to talk over dinner for hours! |

GONE/TIMEOUT (No DMs please) |
I wonder what we define as date..
Likely never been on a traditional invitation to a dinner by a stranger kind of date.
If going out to an activity with a friend who is male.. then Saturday. |

Hubby and I have regular date nights, albeit our expectations vary ...
I expect wining and dining.
He thinks the middle aisle at Lidl counts (which he gets very excited about bless him)
However. He is mistaken.

Something I don't understand..
When people are stating that they have never been on a date. what does that mean exactly?..
Is it that you slowly got to know someone who was nearby to you and they became your long term partner without specifically asking them to out on a date?
I haven't been on a date for years. (Doesn’t really interest me)
There was a point about 10 years ago though where I was a serial dater..went on loads in a short space of time.

February. Nice woman and it lasted a couple of months but didn’t work out.
Will start the old merry go round in the new year.
Hate the process be it can be exhausting and somewhat frustrating, but I love meeting someone I really like and finding out they like me too. |

In my case, my first two LTR's were with people I had been friends with already for a few years. My last LTR was with someone I met on fab. I never intentionally sought any of those relationships. I've never actively looked for a partner and been on dates with potential suitors. |

Married, I have dates with my wife, and I have mate-dates and holidays with a few lovely (platonic) female friends; they pay their own way.
Last mate-date was a week ago, 10am till 11pm, lots of coffee, a few towns and some lush food!
Normally have mate-dates a couple of times a month, and about 3 or 4 long weekends in the summer for holidays.
Wifey likes to be at home - getting her out next month for a long weekend near Coventry.
For me, mates are more important than FWB, though FWB still sought. |

Ive realised everyone's definition of a date is probably different. To me there's lots of different types, I go on dates with my friends, people I want to get to know, current partners etc. The question was for whatever you class as a date. |

Oh, well in that case, on Saturday with a friend.
Before that, 3 weeks ago with my fwb. |

"Is sitting naked in a hotel room, eating curry, watching footy and talking about all sorts of nonsense, included as "date"? If so, the answer is July.
It could be 😂 Was it fun? "
Oh yes. Much fun. And later, fun |

Also in early August, we went to a posh cinema, sat on a double sofa and watched Deadpool (romantic) then spent the rest of the afternoon reclined Roman-esque, nibbling nibbles and eating cake. And kissing.
Also fun. |

A date ... is to strengthen a relationship with no expectation of anything physical or emotional. |

Good point, I tend to catch up with my mates. And I go out with the other half, guess it depends on word usage. To me dating is when you're establishing a relationship. |

I went on a match. Com date last weekend. It was drinks. He ghosted me
I'm going on a Tinder date tomorrow night. We shall see if it goes any better.
I've never really liked the dating game but it's a necessary evil sadly.
Keep it simple for a first date. Drinks or coffee.

These apps are all bollocks. I tried the purple one. I actually got two 'meets' from that, but they both ghosted afterwards. It's not just men. |

While I agree it's not great, there is always hope. I'm very much embracing my dating era. I didn't do it in my 20s.
Also I wouldn't rule out dating someone I met here either. Although I'm not looking for a swinging relationship. |

We try to date at least once a week, we go for walks or drinks. It's important to go and do things together. The best part is looking at her enjoying herself or catching her eye during conversation and seeing that smile and then that look of.. can we go home now.. well unless we find a quiet spot. |

I love dating!
Dinner, drinks, shows, movies, bowling, ice-skating, arcades, crazy golf, go-karts, theme parks, trips to the beach, pottery/art classes, dance classes, bike rides, walks with a picnic, zip-lining... don't you dare just invite me for a coffee and call it a "date". |

I went on a date 2 weeks ago.
We went to a pink Floyd, dark side of the moon 50th anniversary concert, which was amazing.
We had so much fun and definitely got us both very much in the mood for connecting on a deeper, more intimate level back in the playroom
I do love a good date! 😁 |

Literally on Sunday!
Love a date, never feel nervous with them, just rock up and see if we connect with vibes. Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't, and it doesn't matter how hot they are if there isn't that chemistry for me. |

Before Mr. I'd never really been on dates...and all the years I was single I tried to avoid it. Had one or two kinda ones in the past.. but nothing proper really.
We go on a date every week.... we have breakfast, lunch or dinner.... depending on his shifts... its lovely x |

If dates are what you are into, I recommend trying a speed dating event.
They avoid all the time spent on an app playing message ping pong. And you'll interact with loads of people in a short space of time.
It was a while back when I went to one, but it was interesting- & surprisingly fun. |

Went to a speed dating event a festival in the summer. Was fun, went to the 'friends' section and met some amazing people. There were over 10,000 people at the festival so never saw them again which was fine! |

Love should never be rushed. ❤️
"They avoid all the time spent on an app playing message ping pong."
But...but...I enjoy long and sustained messaging! I'm a slow burn.
"And you'll interact with loads of people in a short space of time."
I much prefer quality over quantity, young Sirrah. 🌈 |

Would love to date any of the ladies who could fancy me. I have been trying out several of the dating apps recently, a very few responses that don't seem to be going anywhere, one lady that I've seen once (no, there wasn't any shagging, if you must know).
Happy to travel, further if we've spoken before. DM me? |
