We recently posted a pic of mr nik with a progress pic of his 4 month body transformation and got a few messages fat shaming him so he ended up taking it down. Wouldn’t it be better for people to say nothing than say something nasty or is that just an us thing? |

I didn't see the pic and have no idea what he looked like either now or then.

By tearing someone else down, some people try to make themselves feel better or distract from their flaws.
Or they simply get their kicks from it.

I put it back on our friends only pics but I’m dying to put it back on our public. We’ve been together nearly 20 years and I’ve never been more proud of him. His mum sadly passed away last year which led to the weight gain but he’s gradually been getting his shit together. Just makes me so angry how some people can be so nasty x |

I'm afraid it happens a lot. Fat shaming, insults, wild accusations. Over the years I've had it all. Learnt to develop a tick skin but it doesn't make it sting any less.
This behaviour is a reflection of them, not you. All the more reason to show off that photo with pride. |

Congratulations mr! That’s some good going and you should absolutely be proud. Weight loss is a journey in itself and it’s a personal decision that you get to win, battle and savour.
Thinner isn’t better but if it makes you feel good then that’s a huge positive and something we should all celebrate |

That's an amazing achievement and something to be proud of! I hope Mr knows that his weightloss is actually inspirational to people like me who need to lose a few stone themselves.
I know it's easier said than done to ignore negativity and mean comments, but you've got to remember that psychologically, people who put others down are only doing it because of their own insecurities and dislike of themselves.

Body image we know is a big problem for a lot of people. Fat shaming is highly irresponsible in any situation. We should be wholly inclusive. If fat shaming takes place that says a lot about the person doing the shaming! Not welcome here. |

If overweight is not your preference then don't go for that.
No need to mskr comments particularly if they are trying to improve by working out.

I'd imagine it's a jealous little sod making comments. Always report them. The reason I (M) do the messages on here is because when Chels was on as a single F, body shaming was the go to insult for losers who couldn't take no for an answer. The vast majority of folks are friendly and supportive though. |

Firstly, props to Mr. He hasnt liked something and done something about it. Takes, time, commitment and effort.
Secondly, just a way of life on here (and wider social media)
People either a) take some perverse delight in bing cruel or b) are so starved of attention they are deliberately provocative to try to get a response.
In the space of three messages I had a fella tell me I’m god’s gift to women and all he would love to do to me, I say no thank you and then he says I’ve got ugly hands and mans shoulders and he would rather chop his nob off than fuck me.
Some people should simply not be let loose on the Internet and whomever has fat shamed your partner is simply one of those cretins.

Nothing pisses me off more than people making fun of other peoples physical attributes, specially when it’s weight related.

It happens all the time, my wife joined a local gym and she is overweight and when she walked in many of the gym fit people turned and looked her up and down as though she shouldn’t be there, even the instructor said in a loud voice we do have a challenge here, she left and has never gone back to a gym since |
