Porn is responsible for this horrible squirting obsession men have. The aggressive battering of the fanny is not attractive and doesn't feel good.. if someone is going to squirt, guys need to just let it happen naturally. It's made men worst lovers in my opinion. |

Pros- porn has maybe made people more open minded towards certain sexual acts or kinks and has helped to break taboo around them.
There's also an argument that in some porn has helped with body image by showing a range of body types as attractive (BBW, trans, amateur etc).
Also, there are a number of female porn producers who create content which is aimed at women and shown from a female perspective. This is especially true with the rise of content platforms allowing more freedom from mainstream porn studios

Cons- mainstream porn is too often produced from a purile male perspective reducing the woman to simply a sex object and can be blamed for a rise in unrealistic expectations sexually amongst (mainly) young men- too many kids view it a too young an age.
Also, the mainstream porn industry has a certain toxicity about it- performers are too often exploited (financially and physically) plus there's a disproportionate number of porn stars who tragically take their own lives or end up in addiction. I don't think the industry as a whole has a suitable after-care system or takes enough accountablity for well being.

Porn hasn’t had any effect on my sexual “skills” - that’s been practice, communication, experimentation and confidence.
Porn may have opened my eyes to new ideas/scenarios/fantasies - none of which would be possible without practice, communication, experimentation and confidence… and the compassion, care and assurance of men who have **not** done their learning from porn. |
