What is in your opinion the greatest album ever?

Not a “best of” album or a “now that’s what I call” album

I ask as today I was going to buy a record player but couldn’t think of one album I can remember listening to from start to finish

So inspire me please 🙏

As an entire album to be enjoyed from start to finish, oddly (for me) the lemonheads album (called 'lemonheads' from 2006).

Hybrid Theory. Every track has something that gets me. Lifetime love and grounding album has to be Eye of The Tiger. As a teen I thought Slippery When Wet was the dogs.

Like many of the posters above, it really is difficult to narrow it down to one but the following albums would be in the conversation:

Purple Rain - Prince and the Revolution

Whatever People Say I Am, that's What I'm not - Arctic Monkeys

Automatic for the People - REM

Blonde on Blonde - Bob Dylan

Blood on the Tracks - Bob Dylan

The Suburbs - Arcade Fire

Wow.. what a question

I am surprised pet sounds by the beach boys wasn’t mentioned before just above me.. but it’s an album I can just go a listen to at any point

I was also so tempted to say ABBA gold.. but that would be cheating….

Thinking of a few others

Original pirate material by the streets

Low end theory - a tribe called quest

36 chambers - wu tang clan

Fade to black- Amy whitehouse

The miseducation of Lauren hill

Songs in the key of life- Stevie wonder
