Sometimes when I fall into a rabbit hole of browsing through profiles I stumble across a phone number or two.

Have you ever contacted someone on here from a profile phone number?

Would you?

Personally I find it a lil weird to be so publicly sharing such information but each to their own I guess…

Cos sometimes social media connects people based on phone numbers and if there's anything online that IDs where you live, then there you go.

Yes that's correct, that's why you make sure that social media accounts are all as private as you can possibly make them. I don't have many SM accounts but the ones I do can't be linked to my phone number. Many guys don't as they pop up on "people you might know"

I'm always dubious about the idea of publicly sharing numbers on the Internet.

They could end up anywhere.

On all kinds of mail order shopping sites so you get bombarded with junk texts. On toilet walls in service stations and pubs.

They could even be used to sign up to weekly phone calls from JW's or your local MP's staff. 😮😮😮😮

Just nope.

Anyone with at least half a brain keeps a second or third phone for using in lifestyles like this one!

Don't give out your everyday/family phone number on Fab or dating sites, or use it to phone iffy services.

It has never been easier or more acceptable to have several phones, or to block problem callers.

I've even got an old Nokia which I get all my NHS calls and reminders on. The battery stays reliable for weeks without a charge in receive standby mode.

Use technology to your own advantage.

Thinking about it I could have been murdered in a non painful way and just not noticed it.

I'll ring the doctors in the morning to make sure I haven't been killed.

Scratch that, they might trace my phone number and murder me again.

I'll write them a letter to find out if I've been murdered.

I've just realised when I had a landline, my number and address was in the phone book.

That means I was murdered to death.

So was everyone else in the phone book,

If the murderer had a landline do you think they murdered themselves first if their name started with the letter A?

Then murdered the rest of us .

If you had a fax machine did you get murdered more than once?

If you've an answer machine do you get murdered before or after you get home?

If you dial 1471 do you have to murder yourself?

No the only people who have pigeons live in Bradford and it was too far away from the Titanic when it sank and Bradford doesn't have a lifeboat, probably because it's landlocked.

And pigeons poo damages car paintwork

A burner number only lasts 24 hours or if you decide to delete it before then then all records, calls, texts, location are removed making it untraceable. Yeah I'm sure there is some smart bugger at GCHQ that can do it as nothing is impossible. But the police certainly won't be able to do it and won't bother escalating it unless it's related to a possible terrorist attack.
