I have been asked by several people what I want for my birthday which is not that far off now. No idea what to say. I have plenty of the usual stuff like eau de toilette, shirts, socks, jumpers etc. Any ideas for some more unsual, quirky options pls? Notning over £50 as I don't want to be asking people to spend more than that |

"A couple of my friends have just agreed to stop buying gifts and to take each other out for food or cook for them. I think that's a great idea"
This, or a restaurant gift voucher.
But I’d much rather spend quality time with my friends than presents |

Books, or even better, book vouchers! A day wandering around the book store as you contemplate what to get, knowing that someone thinks enough of you that they want to gift you quiet time lost in stories is a true gift. |

Flip the script
Instead of one evening where everyone gives you a gift
Use the whole week, spend a few hours with each person doing something you and they specifically enjoy. A week of experiences and memories with everyone you love |

"A spa day, relax for an entire day by yourself or take someone else along.
Second this idea.

Me too but the ones I like cost a lot more than £50 though I could ask them to club together I suppose. |

"Get everyone to gift you £49 quid.
Go on a city break with the resulting collection
Good idea but not comfortable taking cash. Might find a different way of doibg it
Travel company vouchers? "
That might work |

Those day out/red letter days have offers on majority of the time as well as booking the place direct. Just needs a Google search. |

"I'd tell people not to bother, I'm guessing if there's something you want you'd just buy it yourself. "
I always tell them not to bother but don't listen so end up with things I don't want or use |
