Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Is anyone else watching this?

Trevor just goes in with a bag and fills it up, walks out and then gets locked up. He did get a leg of lamb though.

It is difficult to decipher what some of them are saying. But just seeing someone stealing loads of deodorant doesn't make sense to me.

An ex of mine used to swap the labels on joints of meat, obviously we had to go a checkout with a dumb blonde or a spotty teenager on the till so they wouldn't notice the price difference

They're also happy to have their names associated with their faces.

Southwick

A 'friend' of mine used to walk round a supermarket putting items into the shop's own plastic bags in his shopping trolley.

He then just wheeled it out of the supermarket's doors.

Just wheeling stuff out of the supermarket seems to be the usual practice.

I'm beginning to feel most of the serial offenders have mental health problems.

Seems the more brazen you are the more likely to 'succeed'.

Will all the shops have to lock everything away in such areas?

After 12 years in the job I'm still surprised at the lengths people go to to shoplift.

Even more bizarre when your probationers come to an appointment and ask if there's anything they can 'get' you

Kent

Years ago I worked on the cross channel ferries, we sold loads of different types of whiskey in the duty free. One day I was tidying the shelves and noticed one of the lids on the more expensive boxes was open, went to straighten it out and found it contained a £12 bottle of booze, someone had swapped 2 round and paid for the £12 one with a £100 bottle in. Clever little buggers! We had to check every box after that!

Crafty!

I guess shoplifting on a ferry is the 'nicking' equivalent of a danger wank!

You've either got to be bloody good - or a great swimmer - not to get caught!

I was in Iceland's yesterday, when the lady that was packing noticed an elderly lady that had already been in the shop that morning, was in the shop again with some items in THEIR carrier bag sitting by the door. She went over and the lady told her that she had just forgotten to pay and went to do it. They were saying that it's the elderly that are the worst and that they hate calling the police.

It is hard to feel sorry for them because you just don't know their circumstance's. Could they be doing it because they are lonely, no money or have they always done it and got away with it????
