"Ok firstly who would you guys like to see as the new James Bond? Male or female? And would you want the next James Bond to be different in anyway? "
I always thought it should have been Idris Elba |

Why does he need to be different?
It's a been popular because you always know what you are getting with Bond.

It’s been know for a while that the Broccolis are looking for someone under 40. They’re looking to secure someone for another lengthy stay in the job similar to Daniel. That rules a few out, and ties in with why Aaron Taylor Johnson was almost nailed on for the job over the summer.

Well after watching the last few film's over the past few days and yeah I agree Craig gives off the weary of life vibe, creaking and vulnerable.
They do need someone who has a slight air of invulnerability and physicality, Craig is a bit of a lightweight.

They should just revert to standalone movies rather than another arcing universe.
Also gives them the ability to change actors if one isn’t popular or they want to try different things like flip between serious bond film to the more entertaining Rodger Moore era vibe ones that are way funny and far fetched.
Be nice to have a movie fir change that isn’t depressingly trying to be doom gloom why so serious Batman
If they want to go very young like looking early / mid twenties then I’d say maybe
Finn wolfhard
Tom Holland

Personally they could cast a talking donkey for all I care but fans get very upset if JB is altered too much. So pick any fairly attractive guy who looks half way decent in a suit and can raise one eyebrow and most will be happy. |

There has already been a female 007, in no time to die. Clearly a box ticking exercise and a bit too obvious and cringe for my liking.
In my opinion 007 is a fictional character so why not have a female/ trans/ any other kind of minority. But if your gonna do it the have some integrity, commitment and do it properly.

"Guy Martin
There's not enough Swarfega on the planet to get the axle grease off him for that!"
Haha love this! Can you imagine him sliding down a crane wire! He would break the sound barrier with that amount of lubricant |

Henry Cavill would be a safe, traditional pick for the diehards.
David Gyasi is an accomplished actor.
And I believe Rose Leslie could do the role justice. 007 is just an operational name after all, right ?

In answer to part one of the question, Theo James, if it remains as James Bond 007.
If the franchise needs to modernise, they have to drop the James Bond monica and change to 007 which allows them to interchange characters.
When Ian Fleming wrote the original novels, he could not have forseen the challenges of the 21st century.
Not only did he write the present situations for Bond, he created a complete family history. Now, not wishing to sound sexist or racist, Bond was / is a white male descended from Scottish/French parents.
The first real opportunity to change was when Peirce was about to leave, the call for a next Bond to be black and Idris Elba was in the frame and a good shout, but it could also have been Colin Salmon.
So, if you want James Bond, it'll have to be a white hetro male.
If you want 21st century inclusion and equalities change the mantle to 007 Secret Agent and anything is possible. |

Pretty sure he died at the end of the last movie, so 🤷♂️🤷♂️.
Plus it's a film. Does it really matter? I mean they cast Tom Cruise (5ft 7") as Jack Reacher (6ft 5") in the books, before making a change to Alan Ritchson (6 ft 3")....... |

"How are they going to write their way around the fact that he got blown to shit in the last one? And not blown in a good way either. "
They’ll simply use James Bond as a generic cover name for whomever 007 is.
