We'll look at their profile, their verifications and photos. If we like the look of them we'll wink back. 95% of the time they don't follow up with a message, so maybe they winked because they have something in their eye? Many wink again in the future. No time gets wasted though in looking at their profile together before deciding to wink back

We look and will wink back if someone takes our interest... more often than not though, it seems the majority of men that wink are being lazy and have barely, if anything, on their profile.

For those of interest, it is frustrating when we wink back, in our eyes a mutual expression of interest but, it's then not followed up.

Great feature really, but not everyone understands it / uses it well.

In my opinion instead of a wink it should be a form of asking if someone is "Interested?" and they click Yes or No ...and the winker gets notified.

So much better than having to second-guess if maybe they haven't seen the wink, didn't get to your message...

Why not have a direct signal of rejection?

I use winks to show that I’ve viewed a profile and am interested after viewing it…it’s just a nice thing to do.

I always appreciate a wink in return, and hope that if the lady in question is interested enough to want to find out more or take things further, that she’ll message to say hello
