Mostly Marvel as that's what I read (with the exception of Batman) when I was younger.
Marvels live action films are better but DC generally does animated series and films of a better quality than Marvel. In my opinion anyway. |

"Geek question, as I'm a bit of a geek.
I don't know if anyone will add to the thread.
But what do you prefer.
DC OR MARVEL. " only tried marvel in my coffee so not sure what D.C. would taste like |

"Don't really care anymore. I've overdosed on superhero films and think the genre has been done to death.
I need a de-tox 😅😂
It really has, the amount of shit TV series marvel pumps out is crazy."
I like when they occasionally do something you wouldn't expect. Werewolf By Night being a Universal monsters style throwback was fun. |

"I think Marvel has better heroes, DC does villains better "
I can agree with this think it’s more as marvel want to be all moral so no villain can have redeeming features there’s no grey, it’s black and white which is also why the love for antiheroes is coming |

DC for me. I find Marvel too comedic and happy-clappy. I like the grit and grim dark.
I find escaping to a world worse than my own more an escapism than one happier than this one. DC could go a lot more grim dark though and focus on 18+ storylines. |

As a young lad I remember walking into my local newsagent and asking for marvel and getting directed to the powdered milk ☺️ |

I’ve always loved superman and batman (DC) from Chris reeves and Keaton days but I’ve always favored marvel from watching Incredible Hulk on a Sunday and spider man whenever I could lol 😁
So marvel it is 👍🏽 |

I would go for DC purely on the basis of the game changing comics and great stories in its Vertigo imprint.
These days I go for creator lead comics rather than the publisher lead.
Creators like Stjepan Sejic, Ed Brubaker, and last but not least Garth Ennis.

"DC far more dark and I kinda like that . The boys etc .
However I absolutely think venom are the best movies by far "
I thought Venom was awful. Persevered through the first one. Can’t be arsed attempting the others as I’ve heard they’re even worse. |

Marvel for the Infinity War Saga, the multiverse saga so far is just dead (apart from maybe Loki).
Older DC films (pre suicide squad) are actually pretty damn good, yes they don't have the buy in the IWS did but still really good, even Pattinson as Batman was a really good film as well but most of the modern ones have been huge misses. Though Arrow and The Flash have been great too. |

I prefer the Marvel films but the DC TV series. Marvel films always have a sense of humour to them while DC films feel dark and moody. Generally for the TV series that gets swapped around with the stakes in Falcon and Winter Soldier being so heavy the humour wasn't there. By contrast the DC series had much more humour in them.
Can't say I've ever read the comic books, so I'm probably something of a heathen! |

Marvel for us
Marvel has always tried to humanise characters, Ive always seen Spider-Man as a Superhero soap opera.
DC on the other hand always seemed grander when I read the comics growing up, and reminded me of fairytales or myths, the stories just didn't appeal to me in the same way.
I always felt more in common with Spidey when reading about him getting the flu compared to Superman dodging kryptonite... |

Both have fallen off in terms of the quality of their comics. But that's in part probably nostalgia.
DC might have had a lot of daft nonsense and endless continuity resets, but they also produced some extremely good stuff - from stuff like George Perez on Wonder Woman, through Alan Moore on Swamp Thing, Grant Morrison on Animal Man and Doom Patrol etc. |

"Give me batman who laughs anyway.
And he looks cool as fuck.
Always be yourself. Unless you can be batman. Then be batman. Obviously.
" I love the batman who laughs sadistic twisted design.
Would 100% make a creepy Halloween costume. |
