I love films and the soundtrack is just as important as the story or actors. Often creating tension like Jaws soundtrack used instead of showing the shark or in Psycho, music used as stabbing a woman in the shower.
My personal favourites,
Out of Africa - John Barry
A Fistful of Dynamite (or Duck you sucker) Ennio Morricone (to be honest I can’t think of any I don’t like)
Schindlers List - John Williams- Itzhak Perlman
Streets of Fire - compilation of artists.
The Exorcist- Mike Oldfield

A classical favourite is the mission soundtrack
Gabriel's Oboe by the great Ennio Morricone
He has some great ones like the good the bad & the ugly, the untouchables & once upon a time in the west.

"Keep tomorrow for me (Heatwave) from the escape to Athena film.never heard of this film before,watched it recently. The heatwave song had me humming away."
Oh is a great little war film.
Although there are some soundtracks out there which are far more memorable than their movies. Especially from the noughties |

Sinoia Caves' soundtrack for Beyond the Black Rainbow is amazing. Heavily influenced by John Carpenter.
And while we're on the subject, all of John Carpenter's soundtracks are great too. |
