Are there any phrases that you consider arrogant or insulting?

I don’t like

“It’s okay I don’t expect you to understand”

Or

I’m not like you in that regard

And the real one I don’t like is

I appreciate you but…

I appreciate good cup of coffee. Or cake. Not a person

He must obviously be able to back it up mind . (I say this in the nicest possible way )

I've never been interested enough to find out.

But if he's happy and doing no-one else any harm I don't think it matters if he's perceived as arrogant.

Perceptions vary wildly between people. I dislike the concept of arrogant because it's dependent on someone being unworthy of the confidence they possess. Let people have some confidence in themselves. They're obviously finding enough people who agree to keep their ego afloat 💜

But where does confidence become arrogance?

When you don't believe they're good enough to hold that high an opinion of themselves.

That's the problem 💜

Could arrogance then be seen as people hiding certain inabilities or skills.

Basically “I’m telling you because that’s the way it is” so there opinions don’t get questioned?

Isn't that just trying to hide a known lack of something? That doesn't really fit for arrogance for me.

Not sure if it’s arrogant or I just find it annoying and disingenuous but…

“Well done you”

I don’t find those things particularly offensive, But I find arrogance offensive, when people feel the need to tell you how important or intelligent or good at something they are, that’s one thing that they often ignore everybody else’s input Because they have inflated sense of self-importance
