I had high hopes of undefined expectations. I found the place bewildering, an ocean of crass and squalor which made me feel like a prude or some puritanical soul (I'm not a swinger but I'm not a prude either).
I took a break, a hiatus of three months and then came back and redux'd my profile, sent a few messages (actually 500+), test-fired a few winks and then dipped into the forum for just one day only, creating one thread which polarised some people. Four women messaged me on the back of that...
I didn't join the forums again until after another 2½ years.

It was a long time ago. Previously I had used contact magazines and been fairly successful, but it also taught me how to message people, what was responded to. I used fab in exactly the same way and was successful despite never going to a club or event. I also wrote a few stories in that section of the forum which was quite successful. The Manor being one.
I left, lost my verifications, rejoined and have been on and off since. As someone else has already said.... have no expectations, treat people with respect and you may be lucky. |
