Put you off meeting someone?
So ,I've been thinking(obviously not too hard,as it's Sunday)
You get a message from someone and they share a name with someone else you know ,maybe a family member,an ex or someone you don't like...
Would this put you off chatting and potentially meeting someone?
Could you just change their name for your own person reasons or would it be a just 'no thank you'?
For me personally, I wouldn't meet anyone that shares the same name as my children.

Honestly, I don't get the kids one personally, but each to their own. Our son has a pretty common first name and we'd be excluding huge numbers of dudes simply because they have a common name for men.
I actually think it'd be weirder to meet someone with the same name as me |

I really struggle to find a Keith sexy.
But mostly, no.
My least favourite names in terms of association are Stefan and David, I might feel a slight wobble if someone introduced themselves as such. But one of my current favourite people is called David, so it can't be that big of a thing for me. |

name as in the persons real name or the profile name? Many profile names are Ill thought out and what otherwise would be a great person to meet will be ignored because of it or maybe the customary cock avatar but some will like it some won't, as with everything here some will some won't. |

Real names wouldn’t bother me, mainly because I either never get to know them or by the time I do I only ever refer to their fab name anyway.
As for fab usernames, absolutely. People with zero class or shame pop up on my updates all the time with names like ‘the slutty cunts’ or ‘horrid bitch for using’. Just urgh. |

Quirky, imaginative and humourous names are fine...
However, yes, crass and repellant usernames would put me off. It's not a great opening gambit when someone messages you and you immediately flinch at their profile name.
It's not so much about first impressions but more about what I could interpret about their personality and outlook, and just assume that they are not quite the demographic that I seek on here. |

Usernames put me off
And weirdly, a lot of men on fab seem to have the same name, must be code for something 🤣
Actual names wouldn't put me off as such, but I don't tend to use them in public anyway - never know who's listening, especially at large group socials. |

Even if I reveal myself as Fabien De La Wonderful at the Northampton social? |

I think I had my PA put me down as my alter ego.

A name? Hardly. Unlike other stuff. |
