Have you ever looked at yourself and think “I’m looking good” or alternatively “I’m looking a mess”
I caught a glimpse of myself in some big mirrors yesterday and thought I look a mess
Not so much dress sense but tired and old |

Mirrors love me so it's very unusual for me to think negatively about myself when I look into one, regardless of wether I'm messy, smart or anything in-between; cameras on the other hand, they hate me. |

I’ve never been one to stand in front of a mirror for more than about 10 seconds
I am who I am and thtt try Pugh life my looks have changed
I accept myself
I don’t trust people who think they look perfect |

I tend to stay clear of mirrors. It's a morning thing to get ready, nose clean, eye scram gone, teeth scrubbed, job done kinda thing. If I feel good then it probably shows. I had a rough couple of months and people noted how tired I looked, I felt that way too. |

Gonna get a bit soppy here for a moment, but the amount of self depreciation on this thread is genuinely upsetting why are so many people talking down about themselves?
As my substitute mother RuPaul says: "If you can't love yourself, how in the HEEELLLL you gonna love anybody else?!"
(No but seriously. Please everybody go look in the mirror and pick out like 5-10 things you like about yourselves. Everybody deserves to feel good in their own skin ❤️)

Usually it's 'I'm getting old'
Closely followed by 'Well then I need to get my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.'
Then I have a cup of tea and chocolate digestive usually.
I honestly don't think about it much. I keep myself clean etc, but that's about it. |

I'm afraid thats not possible, it may be upsetting but there isn't anything I particularly like |

That’s a nice sentiment miss muse, but I would change every single element of my face and body if I could. There isn’t one thing about it I like. I’m not being self deprecating, it’s just how I feel and have always felt.
The fact is, when you get to 47 and are long-term single despite your best efforts, you begin to realise it’s you! There are other factors, of course (not least my personality haha), but having never, ever pulled when out I know I’m not a good looking bloke (not fishing here).
I’ve accepted me for who I am because I can’t fundamentally change things like my face, so I’m not down about it.
Anyway, there we go. Back under my bridge now 😆 |

Yes!
With my hair scraped back first thing in the morning when I'm showering I look dog rough. When I look in the mirror I wonder where it all went so horribly wrong. 😂
Once I've done my hair and the creases have dropped out I catch a glimpse and think 'Damn you're hot!' 😅 |

Today it was "WTF" because my hair needs cutting and is unruly and because I'm knackered from not sleeping well.
However, I did think I looked half decent on Wednesday and I got a lot of compliments about my tights, so..... Yeah.
I mainly think I look fat and frumpy though. I don't think the mobility scooter helps |
