Kidderminster

Just eaten my 1st of many mince pies leading up to Xmas. M&S Collection. Very good it was too.

Is it too early do you think? Will I peak around early November?

Definitely too early. Flog yourself 10 times and return in December.

NORWAY Wherever I lay my hat

Urgh.... I heard my first Christmas song yesterday in a supermarket en route to the beach. It's way too early for anything festive!

Near Wells

I don’t usually start eating mince pies until October and has someone mentioned, you get fed up with them by December.

It didn’t stop me looking for them in Tesco earlier this evening though. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have any.

I’m usually a keep Christmas in December for most things but not mince pies.

Yes, way too early. Give yourself a good talking to.

I bought some special edition Halloween Reese's at the weekend and was annoyed at myself for being sucked in by the early marketing...

You have failed - chestnuts and toffee apples up to Halloween then treat yourself to mince pies up to Xmas

This kind of thing should be prohibited by law

Whoa, whoa, whoa, OP.

I like a mince pie as much as the next guy, maybe even more. But eating them on a day where you could have justifiably worn shorts is absolutely not ok..

Please, return to this thread at the appropriate time and we'll continue the discussion.

Until such a moment, hang your head in shame. Respectfully, the people of the forums.

Can’t stand mince pies personally but Mr loves them but even then he won’t have one until at least December 1st.

Popped into Sainsbury’s back in august to get ice cream and had to stop the youngest from putting a Christmas pudding in the basket.

I'm too invested in finding Fiendish Fancies in the shops, vs focusing on mince pies yet

I have a family sized Christmas pudding in my cupboard I'm going to make a dent in tomorrow.

Far too early for mince pies! It should be all toffee, apple and cinnamon recipes until Halloween and then the Christmas stuff can come out.

Most of them are disappointing.

By the time I've figured out the good ones it's nearly Christmas and I am fed up of them.

There's been a steady decline in pie standards in recent years, across the board. A barometer for any society, I would contend.
