Love a good Sunday roast.
Especially now it’s getting a little colder .
Then after my roast ,I like a good steamed golden syrup sponge pudding with ice cream and custard.
The only problem is I have to spend the rest of the week working off those calories |

i always do one , its part of eating healthy for me , 5 veggies......too many folk these days live on supermarket junk , pre packed junk , etc etc , its damaging your health (example , Actimel , Contains 3 spoonfulls of sugar) |

We have a roast most weeks it’s the law in our house. Today it’s a 28 day dry aged topside of Staffordshire beef, home made Yorkshire pudding and a selection of vegetables and a beautiful bottle of priorat |

Chicken today for me , and no excuses , oh its to much hassle , the oven cooks the food not you .
my chicken was 4 quid from the co - op , takes 90 minutes , potaoes were £1.99 , peel boil n scrape , roast for one hour .
bag of frozen mixed veg(or a broccoli , the 70p) cheap as chips and easy peasy to cook a roast |

"I sometimes make me a smaller version has to have mint sauce with it though lol
On my own so not much point a lot of the time "
You can get a recipe for a 'one pot roast dinner' online which I use.
Not quite as good, but for one person it saves alot of time/washing up etc and it will last for more than one meal |

I had a discussion with friends a while back who do mash AND roast potatoes and think this is the norm for a roast… don’t get me wrong I like both but not on the same plate and talk about doubling the effort required to cook a roast in the first place.
Today is chicken (everyone eats it and easy to do) done in the airfryer
Roast pots (also airfryer)
Load of mixed veg
Homemade yorkies
Stuffing
Gravy so thick you could stand a fork up in it. |

Slow roast leg of lamb in a redcurrant and red wine gravy, garlic, rosemary and onion roast potatoes, honey and cumin seed roasted carrots and parsnips, home made Yorkshire pudding, griddled asparagus.
20 mins before it's gone.
Tick tock.
