Back in the eighties, they seemed every where on the Benny hill show, Kenny evert, and Jane, but now see to be dying off, is this true or are there women still out there that wear daily? |

I think they are a rarity these days, as indeed are other nylons beyond the obligatory opaque tights in winter … as others have said, fashions change.
I fondly remember the hosiery sections in dept stores, bulging with every kind of stocking you could think of, I loved those back in the day.
I see places like M&S still have hosiery sections … but not lie they were. I also note that whilst they do sell hold ups (which are great quality btw), they never seem to keep stockings anymore … and neither do the supermarkets!
I will always wear nylons when out and about, most often r stockings, occasionally hold ups, and the same for tights.

As an anecdote ….
I remember going to clubs in the 80s and enjoyed seeing ladies ‘dance’ to Oops up side your head. Where you sat on the floor in a line conga style, and banged the floor with your hands..
… it was always good to see which girls were wearing stockings … sussie spotting as we called it - lol x |

"I agree it's a shame the new generation don't seem to have taken this fashion on board as it such a sexy look."
But isn't it great that there are far more practical alternatives available for women to wear? |

Have to admit tights are looking more fashionable with designs these days but guess I'm one of those that love the look of stockings x |

When growing up in 60s and 70s tights and stockings were the normal.
Shamevthey not so popular now as they always make a leg so much more appealing.
No better sight than the tops of tights when legs crossed, or a hold up stocking top.
Ladies and I include tvs cds on here look stunning in them |

From the comments on here it seems like its a ‘male gaze’ thing. I have some stockings and suspender sets, mainly for the decorative purposes when meeting. Tights are more practical for day to day wear |
