I have a question for you lovely ladies would you let a guy you just had a one night stand with pay for the hair and nails?
a very quick back story I met a woman for a one night stand during the night's activities she managed to break a nail and 2 of her hair extensions came out . she never asked me to pay for them or anything of that manner but we did have food and she mentioned how she couldn't get booked in for a while to get it fixed.
I decided to call a very good friend and get her hair and nails sorted and I paid for it . my friend and I were talking and when she found out it was a one night stand she said she would never accept or expect a guy to do that and thinks at a minimum she should pay for half (bill was £800) . my opinion is she never asked I booked it off my own back and never though anything of it again just put my card down and got on with my life . what do you think ?
my friend did mention she never told her the price as the hair she took out was of a lower quality so in her words " she kept her my mouth shut thinking it was my new fling " |

I think personally she took you for a ride by giving you a slight sob story saying she couldn't afford to pay for it.
Of course she can, having hair extensions and nail extensions she already knows the upkeep of both.
£800 to replace 2 hair extensions and fix some broken nails is just ridiculous OP and I really think you need to think twice before flashing the card next time.

No, because if I’m normally paying for my own nails and hair upkeep I would already account the cost into my lifestyle. Not necessitating a man to pay for it.
There’s also a sense of well he paid for it, and now what is he expecting? A ONS is that full stop. Seems weird to me overall. I’d feel funny about it. |

Exactly what Bella says. I have natural quite long nails, shoulder length curly 3a/b hair. I like to get it blowdried and I know there's a likelihood it won't stay that way. I'd never want a casual dynamic to pay for it. |

it was not 800 to replace 2 she got then al taken out and new ones in as plus her nails and toes done . she never really said she could not afford but more could not get booked ik for a while "
Her hair extensions came out - she could have taken them back to a salon and had them re-glued back in.
Most nail places can fix a nail for roughly a tenner!
You've had a one night stand with the woman. Everything you done after OP , is incredibly weird and like your trying to own someone you don't even know.
And from her side she's just taken you for a complete ride. She knows full well how much roughly you've spent even if she wasnt handed a bill. The woman clearly isn't stupid.
She gets a new look and you get an £800 bill, it really is not right.
This is all very weird behaviour |

I can't see a problem really. I wouldn't accept such a gift after only knowing you for one night but you're not saying this is payment to her of any kind...other people are.

my whole thought process was it broke I fixed I moved on and never thought about it at all but I now see that was not the correct move . in terms of the £800.The salon is a place that my mum and sisters and I know the owner , knowing she does good work I asked for her to do it and never though of it till I as told that's mad |

I'm not a 'lovely lady's I accept that. I'm not even lovely.
But holy fuck, so much of what you have said is giving me the heebie jeebies. All Ted Bundyesque
I really do like to wrap my fist into a lovely lady's weave whilst trying to break her headboard into two pieces and hopefully alert the neighbours.
If her extensions/wig/toupee etc falls out or her nail was to break I would apologise, tell her she never used the safe word and somehow exonerate myself from the situation before giving her a gentle kiss goodbye and a bum squeeze.
I'd save myself the very realistic price of about £50 which I would put towards a Tesco curry banquet for 2, some Black Tower wine, and Terrys' Chocolate Orange for her obvious return booty call.
Then I would repeat. |

Not really flak. He asked what people thought and it just seems that most people seem to think it's a little odd. An £800 gift is quite extravagant, no matter who the person is, but unusual for someone you barely know.
Very kind of him though, and, as you say, if he's happy it doesn't really matter what a bunch of strangers on the internet think! |

Which is strange as normally they'd book you to come in for an assessment appointment first to check on the type of extensions you have in currently, and provide a color match, and then also assess how long the appointment would need to be for. It's not like a quick blow n go  |

I have made 2 mistakes here ,
1, putting the price was poorly thought through and not really the point, shame you can't edit it but anyway we move on .
2, i should have just offered to pay and let her sort it helping out if accepted.
it needs to be clear it was not a payment for her service, the friend had no idea it was for a one night stand as I never told her the favour was doing it very last minute and the price is a standard price she charges many of the females in my family and has for as long as I can remember.
she never asked for a full head I got a call saying they would not match do I want to pay to have it all done? I said sure never to be thought about again .
for the nuts in the inbox saying I have changed her hair and attempted to control her by offering her things she can't afford .......wack job fuck off .
no she is not on this app .......I don't think so and never asked.

where was the salon ....hmmmm no ! I won't be given the name as wack jobs will give her hate .

I'm not sure why you think it was your responsibility just because this happened during sex.

And in answer to your question, no way! I would never let anyone - let alone a one night stand - pay for my upkeep. I find it creepy and controlling that he would do that.
(And £800 would cover my nails and hair for a year!) |
