Why do people say they hate Christmas??

Does it stem from childhood memories?
Are they non religious??
Do they not like the things that go with it ie buying and wrapping gift, spending time with family, screaming kids etc etc
Do they not gave kids of their own so don't bother with it??
Obviously people have their own reasons for not liking Christmas but in recent years i am starting to enjoy it by being in good company with friends and family and being merry all the same.
Do you bother with it or would you rather just do your normal day to day living 24/7?

Because they're miserable gits lol. I love Christmas, but for some reason dont feel Christmasy at the moment: maybe I should have a glass of Christmas spirit lol. |

You've never met my Mother, now if you had her coming for Xmas dinner you'd know why I hate Xmas - apart from the fact that it's nothing but a commercial venture aimed at fleecing every last penny fom us ...
Lets go back to the old days, tangerine, orange, a few nuts and a peg doll. |

You could not invite your mother in law and give an orange, few nuts etc etc.
They are readily available in the supermarkets........obviously not the mother in law  |

I have to admit (Dec) that I am not the biggest lover of xmas. Just feel it has lost any sense of what it truly is about and been overturned by greed and commercialisation.
However this song does say a lot about what it truly means.
Plus its a chance to promote Tim Minchin who we both think is an exceptionally funny guy
Hope you both enjoy and apathise with it.

I hate whats its become i suppose and yes if your alone then its not nice.
It brings back memories, some good, some not so good.
Its a time for getting together and biengs with loved ones.
If thats impossible for whatever reason...it just makes life a little unbearable . |
