I've had many experiences I have no explanation for. When I say I have no explanation I mean just that, I can't say with any degree of certainty what caused them including it being dead people.
A lot will tell you categorically that 'ghosts' don't exist but they're usually people who assume you think your experience was a dead person come back |

You may have already heard it but the Uncanny podcast is a really good listen. I started listening as a bit of fun, who doesn’t love a good scare, but it’s almost changed my view.
I’m not prepared to say I believe in ghosts but it’s hard to deny that something has happened to these people that we can’t explain. I find it fascinating.
I’d love to hear some stories. |

I'll be brief because I've told this before but basically
Used to greet early morning and afternoon cleaner at work.
Didn't see him for some time.
Saw him on way out standing in reception I smiled he nodded
Saw him cycling away as I drove out of car park.
Learned next day he died around six weeks earlier |

I thought I saw something once when I was younger, but I am extremely impressionable.
Never experienced anything since, so that one time isn't enough evidence for me.
But I do believe there are energies in this world, which we can't quantify through normal means. Similar to a vibe or feeling you might get, almost in the "sixth sense" kinda thing.
But ghosts/spirits? No. One argument I've always maintained is that ghosts only became popular around the time of The Tragedies of Macbeth, in the 1600s. How come we never see ghosts of those from before those times? Pre-Elizabethan?
Also, if everything has a spirit, animals should also appear. What about dinosaurs? Neanderthal? What governs the rules of which ghosts we see?
There is too much ambiguity for me, to fully commit. But I'm absolutely open, should I ever have a convincing experience in the future.
I think the mind is a powerful thing. More powerful than most people are willing to believe. I'm a lucid dreamer (awareness of the sleep state and able to control dreams), so I know just how influential the brain is.
That being said, I feel that if you want to believe in something and it doesn't hurt anybody, crack on. Same as religion or anything else, if it benefits you (and potentially others) in a positive way and makes your life that little more interesting , then all power to you! |

That’s amazing. It’s hard to give a rational explanation to it isn’t it?
I’ve never had anything happen but I’ve got a couple of mates who’s had things happen and they aren’t the type you’d expect to ‘believe’ but they can’t explain what they saw |

The human brain is capable of much more than most people realise. I get fed up with people telling me that I've got it wrong or I'm remembering incorrectly though because *they* assume that I think it was a dead man coming back to say goodbye, it's dismissive.

I feel our house has a ghost or 2.
I (M half) have had a few unexplained encounters, plus my son whan he was 3 or 4 would quite often chat to a woman on the stairs, we saw him do it once n there was no way he could have acted it out. He also saw the late brother-in-law a few times not long after his passing.
So ghost in my opinion are 100% real. |

"Why are there not over 1 million ghosts haunting Auschwitz?
Because ghosts don't exist.
How do you know there aren’t?

Well, you'd think you'd bump into some when you visit, and I didn't. Not one. |

I’m not sure that’s how hauntings work. It’s more like the Conjuring than Ghostbusters I’d imagine.
Not that I’m an expert |

I've had several experiences that are inexplicable by most of the scientific laws, as known. Humans don't know everything, nor have explained everything, of course - and we'll individually just know a lot less than that.
But my perception of the world is just that - it's my perception. And my own experiences, beliefs, no personality, psychology etc will influence how I filter and understand this perception, which I will always view as truthful and all I had around me, being undistorted, etc
It's so hard to take myself out of the experiences, which just the collection of sensory organs could be hoped only to do. I therefore don't trust my experiences. |

I grew up not far from an old military airbase and my dad swears he saw what he described as a headless airman when he was out jogging one morning. I did think he was waffling at the time but when the internet came about he searched it and found other people in the area had seen something similar. I still don’t believe him but I don’t believe him a little less 👻 |
