Hobnobs - overrated?

"I don’t actually know how to start a petition but I am disgusted by this thread!!!"
Definitely the worst thread ever to exist on Fab. Worse than the stuff like (bleep) (bleep) (bleep) (bleep) and (bleep)
* bleeping because probably even mentioning some of these things is a very bad idea |

What? 😱😱😱😱
No-one wants a soggy biscuit!
I feel like this is a double entendre "
Perfect. Biscuits and sex. This thread shall fill up faster than a Fab bake sale. |

When I hear "truth bomb" I think about conservatives peeking out from their safe spaces and being surprised that people don't agree with them |

"Hob Nobs are vastly over rated. Sawdust mixed with golden syrup
Perfect description. "
I've only had them the once and they remind me of a biscuit in Australia, whose name I've forgotten.
Back in the 1950s (I think) they were invented to be purportedly healthy. They are not healthy *and* they're boring. It's sort of like edging but without gratification, then or later. If you're gonna eat a biscuit, go hard or go home. |

No. You are a very special snowflake and the only holder of the truth. Only you, in your basement with no qualifications at all, can discern the truth that They don't want you to know etc etc |

Poser.
I went to the University of Hard Knocks and Hard Yakka*!
* yakka is a word in Australian English, derived from indigenous language. Usually in the form of "hard yakka", it means work, so hard work. It evokes an image of brute strength. |

To even mention hobnobs and over rated is a crime in itself worthy of the crown and legal representation, I am filing you lot under ‘keep an eye on these fuckers’
No they are magnificent is the actual answer |

They’re not biscuits.

Stephen Fry said it. I’m not intelligent enough to argue with him. |

Stephen Fry said it. I’m not intelligent enough to argue with him."
It derives from the HMRC trying to put tax on it, because chocolate on biscuits attracts a tax and chocolate on cake doesn't.
It was determined that Jaffa Cakes are cake at law, because they go hard when they go stale, while biscuits go soft. Therefore no VAT. |

So they’re legally cakes. That’s good enough for me. |

You're now equal with the other thread
Hob nobs are ok if they are chocolate (definitely better than jaffa cakes), but otherwise they are just the scr4pings from the floor in the bakery mixed with wood shavings...
Now rich tea biscuits (could even get me back to drinking tea).
.
(Who'd have thunk you could not say scr4ping) |

It's a shame that Arnotts doesn't have wider reach. Tim Tams, Mint Slice, and much more"
Timtams are lovely and I like the sound of a mint slice but are they not more a cake than a biscuit? |

I tried to say it earlier about cheesy chips!
And btw, rich tea are the worst for dunking! |

"Discuss. Are hobnobs overrated?
(a spin off from the record breaking thread)"
OP frankly how dare thee?
Hobnobs are one of the finest biscuits known to man, for dunking in tea. They were followed by a revolution when covered with milk chocolate. Put simply, the chocolate hobnob is the undisputed king of biscuits.

Mint Slice is a biscuit made by the same company - they're a dark chocolate covered biscuit with a filling like you find in After Eights, if that makes sense. |

Mine didn’t bake. She had 2 fingers so we called her kitkat.
Sorry I set that joke up expecting a less thoughtful reply. |

"Biscuits crushed into milkshakes or puddings. Yes or no?
Like an Oreo milkshake? 100% yes.
That's the one. I think they're a bit mushy for a milkshake, but other dessert maybe"

I'll do it if I can keep them firm. Like half a mouthful of milkshake and also bite a biscuit |
