Worst for me - Portugal, got food poisoning, so didn't experience much as was in bed all holiday
Best for me - Adriatic coast in Albania. Beautiful weather, clean beaches, so many Roman ruins, friendly locals, cheap. I loved it. |

Worst was Marmaris
It was way too hot, no air con in the room, got withered everywhere we went, 4 hour airport transfer, never again!
Most memorable was Lake Como, I just remember sitting on the balcony, alone, just me, a bottle of red wine, some fresh bread and a piece of freshly cooked lamb - just watching the sun set over the lake and then twinkling of lights on the distant shoreline
Bliss! |

"Turkey. Never again. Rained for 3 days and the waiters were seriously weird.
South Africa trip to Cape Town & Durban. Wonderful company, great food and the weather was a lot better than Turkey."
I'm assuming you went in summer - although Durban in winter is gorgeous (still hot, not as humid), and Cape Town in winter has its own charm (I did the wine route in winter and it was amazing). |

Worst was Cape Town over the festive season - my wife and I stayed with an old university friend and her fiancé. He and his friends (who now formed her social circle) were the most boring people on the planet. We were largely trapped socialising with them.
Best was an eco resort in Knysna (southern Cape province in South Africa) . We went to an elephant sanctuary in the Knysna forest, a monkey sanctuary, whale watching in Plettenburg Bay... and the resort was absolutely amazing. Best holiday I've ever had.

Late Oct. if I remember correctly.
Was it not seriously windy and probably seriously cold in winter? I only ask because the trees on the sea front in Cape Town, in places, are at all kinds of mad angles, due to the wind and the southern storms.
We did a day trip to the Stellonbosch region on the opposite side of Table Mountain. The gardens were seriously interesting.
Long time ago now, but the exchange rate was around 20:1. So everything was reasonably cheap.....and the seafood was wonderful. |

Short break to Dublin was my worst.
Loads of faves but my family holidays (incl my grandparents) down to Cornwall were always eventful.
I’d go on walks with my grampy, he’d get us lost and we’d end up cadging a lift back to our holiday home off some stranger where my nan would give him a rollicking
Happy memories |

Worst - Fuerteventura - nothing to do with the pleasant enough hotel and location. Everything to do with the fact my angry ex husband decided it wasn’t good enough for him so bitched and whinged and was vile to the staff for 10 days. It’s what helped me decide to leave.
Best - Japan. Amazing food, lovely people, fantastic places to visit. Top of my bucket list and I want to go again sometime. |

Worst - Turkey when I was 15. My dad decided to have a funny turn in the travel agents and decided Turkey in August was a good idea. It was too hot - miserably so, and they also had a heat wave at the time so most of the day was spent stuck indoors. I got prickly heat and spent an afternoon in the local doctors office on a drip watching Turkish soap operas. You could really only go out from sunset onwards. The place we went to looked nice but there was also bugger all to do.
Best? Hard to pick. Not really done a "week's holiday" per se for a number of years as have preferred to do long weekend city breaks. I do like Budapest and a friend lives there so go once or twice a year. |

Worst...
On arrival at the resort, my partner informed me that, well how can I put it, she had turned off. Not quite sure how I didn't get on the next plane home, but hey...
I enjoyed being followed around the Aegean Sea for the next ten days by small shoals of silvery fish.
Somehow, we're still together. No, not me and the fish... |

It is windy, cold and rainy in winter. But not all the time. When the weather clears its glorious blue skies, everything's green (rainy season) and the pubs and cafes are warm and cosy. I have been there twice in winter and preferred it to summer. Two mates and I actually walked up the back of Table Mountain (Skeleton Gorge) from Kirstenbosch gardens on a clear, cold and windless mid winter's afternoon. We walked across the table and came down in the cable car on the other side. It's one of the best things I've ever done. |

Oof there's two joint worst for me - a group hol during uni where everyone just wanted to get pissed then sleep and repeat for the full week. Could have stayed home and done that! And the other was Amsterdam for my honeymoon - he spent the whole time incredibly high, and we only had sex once in the whole three days.
Best - probably the first time I took my kids to Pembrokeshire, they had such a wonderful time. |

"
Worst...a week in Devon in a caravan with an ex and her two children... she remained frigid all week...."
That was probably her worst too, but I'd guess her version goes something like "i went to Devon for a week with my kids and some guy. He was totally oblivious to how much work it is taking two kids away, and he expected that we'd be at it like rabbits in a tiny caravan with the kids a whisker away." |

Worst was a holiday to Cyprus. Everyone was off their tits the entire time. Not my thing sorry.

Our worst was an all inclusive holiday to Egypt. We got catfished by the hotel and then on the last night found out our 7 week old brand new car had burnt down in the Luton airport car park fire!
To top it off, our flight was changed to Manchester so had to get a 2.5 hour taxi back home |

This is an easy one for me….
Worst experience was Bulgaria many moons ago with a former girlfriend… to say it was bad would be an understatement… lets see .. two of us in bed sick for a week with severe food poisoning.. when we did venture outside our room there wasn’t a toilet fit for a human to use …6 hours delay to flight on way home
Best without doubt was last year in a nudist resort in Grand Canaria with my now long term wife… www.ArtikaNatura.com - this place was heaven for say first time fully fledged curious nudies |

Best was honeymoon with ex wife in The Maldives, when we got back I kept dreaming I had a secret tunnel that I could use and have my lunchbreak there!
Worst, Algarve, unknowingly I had a parasitic infection in my tummy and was very ill. GF went out for dinner one night, then hit a bar and ended up back at a Guys Appartment. We had spoken about a swingers lifestyle so initially I was upset but thinking it could be something. Turned out she’d decided before the holiday that she was going to dump me so it took on a whole new meaning and was a betrayal in the true sense. |
