I thought I’d enjoy a break from the car crash that is Everton but these friendlies are so pointless. The ‘Nations League’ spin on it doesn’t make them any more competitive. |

I find it a little strange people see it as pointless or meaningless friendly.England are in League 2 together with Republic of Ireland , Greece , Finland.If they win League 2 they will be back in League 1.Whilst that may not be a big deal for England I know it’s a big deal for Greece to be in League 1 to test themselves amongst the best European Countries and I am guess so do Finland & Republic of Ireland.Whoever finishes bottom of the group they will be relegated to League 3. |

It is a meaningless friendly. Nothing is at stake.
It's great for San Marino, but means fuck all to most people.
The massive money hoover of UEFA is what it's really about and most people care little about that. |
