Why do so many people bang with TVs on in the background in their videos?
A matter of getting in the mood suddenly and then thinking fuck the remote don't know where it is? I personally love a bit of focussing on the person and I think Transformers or a car insurance advert would be a little distracting...
What are your thoughts people?

Personally I like a little background noise. Something not too funny and not too jarring. Music videos can work well.

Exactly this. I like the "white noise", some music or even movie (space exploration documentaries are also a favourite of mine) that is not intrusive and won't distract, but that "it's there" to kind of fill the void, like the canvas' texture does for a painting, much better than just a smooth flat surface.
And, I'm also old. 😇 |
