Steamed cod/haddock or oven cooked basa fillets. Steam the spring onions on top too as well as vegetables. All you have to make is mashed potato & a white sauce. Whats not to like...?
Dover soul I used to like but I've not eaten it in years.... |

"Seafood peaked at battered cod for me. I don’t particularly like seafoods."
^^ what he said, though I could be partial to the odd goldfish like Otto in a 'Fish called Wanda' |

"I like trout, salmon, cod, haddock, sea bass, lobster, crab and prawns. Probably a few more, too. "
Love lobster too. There is a restaurant across the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre in Paris that does the most amazing lobster thermidor. One of those, sipping wine and soaking up the view, divine. |

I've always preferred crab to lobster. Big fan of soft shell crab. I've also made thai red curry crab creme brulee before. That turned out nicely.
Love tuna, langoustines, sea bream, I make a great ginger and lime baby squid salad. Also a big fan of hake for a white fish. Monkfish can be really versatile (made a monkfish paella a couple of years ago) |

For me fish I catch
Mainly bass , mackerel ( possibly one of the best underrated fish ever) Trout.
I’m starting to read some horror stories about farmed salmon, I have stopped buying it due to the mortality rate it’s now estimated at over 20% due to Farming Practices.
I smoke my own fish in a converted metal filing cabinet. Which works well.
I think the most wonderful Fish to Eat is turbot and halibut. |

Pescatarian here ! Salmon (marinated firstly in soy sauce, honey and lemon), with steamed greens, also grilled Sea-Trout or 'Sewin' (when available) as we call them here,
I also love Portuguese canned sardines friend in onions, garlic and canned tomatoes with some Worcestershire sauce added and served with steamed rice.
Yum Yum

"Which one is your favourite (to eat)? I love all kinds but red mullet, sword, bacalhau, seebass, whitebait and boops boops are some of my favourite "
My ex was Portuguese MB
I've had my fill of bacalhau
Pans of fishy water on the stove for 3 fkin days are a thing of the past
A good piece of cod, cooked well takes some beating IMHO though
My local Italian does a cod dish with a tomato & chilli sauce
Nothing fancy, just the fish, the sauce, some boiled new potatoes and some steamed veg
It's divine |

My fave from the chippy is haddock, but I also like cod.
Monkfish is great in a curry or wrapped with Parma ham.
Am I allowed crab? (No jokes people!! 😆) That’s my favourite and there is no nicer sandwich in the world than being on Jersey island and having fresh crab sarnie on the beach. Oh baby. |

The simplest dishes are often the best. As for bacalhau, simply fried with a bit of aioli, yummy |

We bought it dried and salted
It was kept in pans of water for days on end
The pans were emptied every day and new water put in, except on the day it was being cooked
The water was then used to boil the potatoes in
Peasant food I guess |

"Smoked haddock or peppered and smoked mackerel. Yummy!
For some reason I get sick as a dog if I eat mackerel, and I know a few people who have the same problem but are fine with other oily fish "
I can only eat salmon cold
Knocks me sideways if I eat it hot |
