I'm wary of buying boxed Christmas food this early, in case it's leftovers from last year.

I did spot mince pies a few days ago and was tempted.

Good forward thinking.

I bought two presents a couple of days ago because they had £6 off.

Probably remnants from last year they couldn't get rid of but they aren't edible so it doesn't matter.

I won't be skipping anything, except Halloween. We'll watch Guy Fawkes fireworks from the balcony. I'll have a birthday celebration of sorts.

I always start my Christmas shopping early as I have so many people to buy for.

I feel depressed when the nights start drawing in and Christmas cheers me up. Especially the coloured lights, for some reason.

It's probably a distraction from feeling so down.

The earliesst I saw a Christmas tree was in late August, in a Bristol hotel Tons of presents underneath, which must have been a nightmare for the families with kids there, who were transfixed

I'm still in summer mode, I'll hear none of this wintery shitem

"It's like one mediocre day in a whole year of opportunity.

Or if your a Fab bloke, one mediocre day scattered amongst 364 other days filled with disappointment and dismay!"

Does that mean you had a meet on the quarter day?

"Rubik (the husband) has already started his Christmas meal, his son walked in the kitchen the other day when he was mixing it (or whatever he does with it) and said "it smells like Christmas in here!""

Mead!! Or the correct term is Methaglin which apparently used to be used as a form of medication

ARGH. A stake has just been plunged into my heart. Please don’t mention that name until the advent calendars open the doors.

Going to be my first Christmas as a single person in 26 years. I'll have to join the group of people that have relationships just for Christmas.

When I go on to work tomorrow I will be plunged into Christmas! I really don't mind ~ I love it. I've been told I'm not allowed to talk about it at home though.

Must make a Christmas cake soon

"Have you been on the mince pies 🥧?

They'll be in the Supermarkets soon. I hope the Co-op do their puff pastries ones again."

Our local tesco had Christmas cakes and puddings on the shelves early August.
