"I'm feeling a bit 'Christmassy'
😃"
I have just returned home from Mallorca with an eight year old son who insisted on singing felice navidad the entire week.
I gave in quite quickly and got into the Christmas spirit haha |

I tend to bust that out randomly throughout the year.
I think it's because it's so catchy |

"Have you been on the mince pies 🥧?
They'll be in the Supermarkets soon. I hope the Co-op do their puff pastries ones again.
They already are! The Sainsburys next to me had loads"
Oh I love a mince pie 😋 |

I'm wary of buying boxed Christmas food this early, in case it's leftovers from last year.
I did spot mince pies a few days ago and was tempted. |

".. we watched The Holiday..Kate Winslett, Jude Law last weekend.. plan on Love Actually for Saturday.. well the nights are getting darker !!"
I save Love Actually for wrapping up nights with my daughter and a bottle of Baileys. |

Is this a joke? It's a joke, right? Oh, Nanna. You little tike."
I only wish it were.
I think it's the weather change and getting darker earlier that brought it on.
I don't like the darker evenings though. I get depressed. |

I think it's the big hedge and crunchy path to my door.

Nanna. FFS. It’s September 🤣🤣
I seriously thought about getting the tree down from the loft.
I didn't bother last year."
It sounds like you missed a Christmas out. In that case I’ll pop round and help you decorate it 😘 |

Yerz... Stateside, you're not allowed to be Christmassy until after Thanksgiving... And that is 25 November.
I haven't even decided if I'm going this year or checked flights yet... |

Yes. Victims being snails I've accidentally trod on in the dark while taking out my wheelie bins |

"I gave out a Christmas present last week to someone I may not see for the next few months "
Good forward thinking.
I bought two presents a couple of days ago because they had £6 off.
Probably remnants from last year they couldn't get rid of but they aren't edible so it doesn't matter. |

"That's fair enough Nanna, still like you.
I'm in spooky season mode now, contemplating if smelling like pumpkin spice would be a bit much. "
I thought about you the other day.
I read something about pumpkin spice and it reminded me of you and your Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced Latte. |

I'm not angry. I'm not upset. I'm not even disappointed.
I just don't understand why people want to skip massive parts of the year to rush to the end?
Like a quarter of the year to go and and people wish their lives away.
Do not get it. |

I won't be skipping anything, except Halloween. We'll watch Guy Fawkes fireworks from the balcony. I'll have a birthday celebration of sorts.
I always start my Christmas shopping early as I have so many people to buy for.
I feel depressed when the nights start drawing in and Christmas cheers me up. Especially the coloured lights, for some reason.
It's probably a distraction from feeling so down.

It's not mediocre for me.
I have a huge family, and little ones who are just becoming aware of Father Christmas so it's a nice time of year for me.
Not the same as when my parents were alive, but still nice family time.

That's fair. Maybe keep dome coloured lights up in your room all year! |

Rubik (the husband) has already started his Christmas meal, his son walked in the kitchen the other day when he was mixing it (or whatever he does with it) and said "it smells like Christmas in here!" |

We haven't reach Halloween yet which in our cases is better then Xmas, Spooky season, horror movies, all things that go bump in the night."
Halloween is my least favourite festival. I hate fancy dress, hated taking kids trick or treating (but love it when people knock on my door), and I'm too much of a baby to watch horror films.

That might desensitise me for when winter comes.
I have still got twinkly lights around my living room floor lamp though. I might turn them on.

The earliesst I saw a Christmas tree was in late August, in a Bristol hotel Tons of presents underneath, which must have been a nightmare for the families with kids there, who were transfixed
I'm still in summer mode, I'll hear none of this wintery shitem |

Mead!! Or the correct term is Methaglin which apparently used to be used as a form of medication

When I go on to work tomorrow I will be plunged into Christmas! I really don't mind ~ I love it. I've been told I'm not allowed to talk about it at home though.
Must make a Christmas cake soon |

Our local tesco had Christmas cakes and puddings on the shelves early August. |
