Makes sense really. The balance is probably split better than the ratios on here. Dating sites are viewed as the norm these days. Swinging sites are probably still classed as more taboo. |

I feel fab is more relaxed, haven’t really got anything too loose, and can be yourself, and open up about kinks and fetishes, where dating sites you may fall for someone then have to introduce certain things and then it starts going down hill |

I think over time, the site we all use has evolved from its original purpose. While it started as a place primarily for swingers, its popularity has grown, and so has the variety of people and interests it attracts.
Now, you'll find single males looking for females and vice versa, as well as people seeking all sorts of connections.
Some are here for traditional swinging, while others use it more like a dating site or even just to chat and browse without any intention of meeting up. So, the question arises.. are they still considered swingers?
In the end, it really depends on how you see yourself and what you're looking for.
Just because you're on this site doesn't necessarily mean you consider yourself a swinger. Maybe you're here to find fun, make friends, or build connections.
The choice is yours, and the key is to be honest with yourself about your intentions. |

No, it's populated with men and very few women, that's why men have more luck on dating sites as there's a better balance of women to men, on here it's about 80/20 |

I think dating sites go more of facial attraction as well as body attraction, whilst here its more so, "okay what does this person have to them that I know I'll really like"?
Which is why here it does help to have an about you and what you're actually looking for, it helps to know if your interests align with the person you feel attracted to.
I guess some people are very confident to show there faces on here, they already know the site and what it offers and are just very comfortable in their own skin. Others maybe not so much, but then again others may have a legitimate reason not to show their face.
After all it is a site which not many would want others to know about, even though its becoming a lot more popular.

I’m on a dating site but it’s more so the fab of dating sites, about as much luck there as here. I’m not particularly looking to date as such but would in the right circumstances. If you’re open with people and are honest about what you’re actually looking for you’ll tend to find more connections. |

We fell in love which neither of us expected!
But I was told by a fabber I should remember this "is not a dating site" and not in a supportive way. Mike and I are exploring each other, for the time being, just us 2. The person didn't take kindly to that.
So I guess I'm saying if something makes you smile, just enjoy! Everybody has an opinion. Agree or not who cares! 😘

Have no experience of dating sites, so can't comment. Fab, It's both now, hook up and swingers. Not intented I get that. If fabbers are happy, why does it matter? It doesn't matter in my head, can you explain cos it seems to for you, I truly don't understand xx |

I find people are far more talkative on dating sites than they are on here. I've been here, over a year and half, maybe more, and I've not spoken to 1 single woman. Nobody seems to want to chat. Not even in the chat rooms. People have their own little groups and don't seem to care about outsiders on here. They don't even say hello back. |

Dating apps when I was single were a whole lot of rubbish… a lot of emotionally unavailable women I came across who didn’t seem to know what they want.
Slowly phased them out when I came on to fab and started delving deeper into the swinging lifestyle. I’ve now been lucky enough to meet my partner through this world and couldn’t be happier. |

Been on two main sites mostly p.f and always successful only problem always ended up in long term relationship lol like current she like I noticed majority of women on the dating sites are also on here former partner was on here also after few months we created an account couples as she admitted she was bi but knows nothing about me plus others, back 2017 was a girl that I chatted to on side as was going through stuff plus relationship issues and the girl I was chatting to introduce me to Fab even did cam and sexting yes not a good faithful partner but as said date sites more and didn't take much for sex but as said majority on date sites also on here |

Many women look for different things in a "dating" partner vs. a sex partner.
For various reasons most of the lovely men I have had sex with via Fab would be pretty poor dating material (for me). However they have all been intelligent, interesting, fit and fuckable.
I doubt (m)any of them would have considered me on a dating site.

I suppose it depends what you are looking for and if you are upfront about that.
On a dating site the people you chat to May (probably are) looking for more than sex.
So it wouldn’t be very nice if you used that site as a “sex hook up site” without being interested in a relationship. Unless of course you were upfront about that. Or are you looking for a relationship?

I don't use dating sites myself, bar a couple of months on one more geared to ENM (gave up as most were here anyway).
But it does make me chuckle when claims are made of more success on them than here, and illustrates the expectancy levels of some as to what setting up a profile on Fab will lead to.
Some seem to think that's all they need to do to find someone for sex. It's not, and never will be. Fab is essentially still a swingers site, not a guaranteed hook up site. It's technically not a dating site either I guess, but plenty use it as one (I have myself) successfully and it does benefit from people being able to be more open about their sexuality and preferences.
If people are getting more sex on dating apps then that's all good.
But surely they're not using those sites for the purpose they were set up for, just as much as some aren't on Fab to swing.
Do what works for you. Just be honest with others as to your intentions, whether it's just a quick one off bunk up or you're actually looking to date/find a relationship. Leading people on just to get laid is a bit of a dick move. |

Very this! Hence why i prefer fab. I know whats required here and can indulge or not as i so choose. On dating apps i have my dating mind in gear and get rather annoyed about the lying and misrepresentation. |
