I'm a 27yo guy and recently noticed that I look older than I am, and feeling a bit down with my all up appearance. Has anyone else been through this and how do they deal with it? |

Keep way from the gym. If anything will premaurely age you, the gym will! |

Stress and worry ages you very quickly so stop it now.
Exercise you have covered.
Reduced alcohol?
Remove highly processed food?
Nice daily moisturiser that contains sun protection.
Get yourself a lovely lady?
Get some of her juices over your face.
My personal choice - shave off the beard. |

You are still young mate , if you think it’s bad now wait till the 30’s take their toll unfortunately it’s part and parcel of life so you need to make peace with it or go down the surgical route .
Eat right
Sleep right ( unbelievably important )
Go to gym
Stay fit
Moisturise your skin , like L’Oréal say “ your worth it “ |

I don't know what you look like but I'm guessing that your perception of how you look differs from how others see you. People differ vastly in how they look at different ages and that depends to an extent on genes but also on how well they care for themselves
I echo what others have said in terms of drinking enough water, getting enough sleep and eating well most of the time.

dont worry about it some people age in jumps, you look the same for years then suddenly seem to look older, only worry if someone asks if you want the pensioners discount or try's to sell you a funeral plan |

Hi op I think beards can really age some men, so maybe look at shaving?.
Try and get enough rest, drink lots of water. Buy some moisturiser if you don't already to keep your face fresh.
Try not to worry and enjoy life, you've got years ahead of you op and it really does go so fast. |

Embrace it!
50 is the new 30!
You’re not even that yet.
I endorse the having a shave comment, feels wonderful to remove the white hair that’s replacing my ginger……
You realise you are able to get old disgracefully? |

I've added another pic, hopefully that give a better picture.
Hitting the gym loads! and nutrition is spot on. Moisterising cream feels like a must though, thanks all! |

I think that the internet makes us think we look older than we are. Because we're comparing ourselves to people who filter (change lighting which everyone reckons isn't filtering but it doesn't half make your skin look better) and then that doesn't match what you see in the mirror.
Plus aging is a bit like puberty I think some people went through it first became really tall for example and then didn't grow much more. So that kid you thought was going to be a giant is actually average height. I think aging is a bit the same there are variations to an extent but it hits us all. |

You seriously don't look older than you are.
I kind of get where you're coming from, not wanting your appearance to change. I look older than I am because I went grey young and am allergic to hair dye. After a minor wobble, I decided to accept it and look for the beauty in aging in people around me. When you can do that you can apply it to yourself.

I tell everyone I am 13 years older than I actually am so I get a tiny glimmer when I am told I don't look that age |

You are 27, still a young pup in comparison! Don't stress about getting older, it's going to happen... I'm closer to 50 than I am to 40 which sucks but I'm stil living the best life I can without worry |

Never stress over things out of your control, you’ll never get younger, accept this fact and you may feel a little better and a step closer to being one with yourself 🧘🏻♂️

I think it's an inevitability of life, that we will be confronted with signs of our decline, as soon as we leave teenager years . How we respond to this, is something that we have choice and control over
You look very good OP
As getting older is inevitable, if we remain alive, it's better to prepare and accept what we can, for those things that we can't influence changes to. Certainly, we have a lot of control over how we look, our health and what's in our mind. We may as well make it supportive and healthy
My body's not in the best nick but I've been to the gym today and managed my sleep and rest levels over the last couple of weeks, as I was a bit rundown. I see bits that I'd rather not have. But I'm able to make massive changes to how I look, which I think is the better use of my energy. I often don't look in the mirror too much, especially early in the day, as I can get caught off guard.
Be grateful for what you have and can go on to influence you achieve. We're very fortunate |
