What messes up your lifts the most?

There are many things that can mess up your training, for me, the main thing is scheduling, like you have to be somewhere and you cant train at that time.
With scheduling. I usually like to train around 1pm, sure training later is fine too, my routine is not that rigid as that, but I do want to wait abit after my last meal to workout, that is why I like to train abit later, because I have more energy then, because if I dont eat before I dont feel like I can have the same kind of productive workout for the 1hr that I train.
Sure, sometimes I have to train earlier which is also fine, but I feel like it wont be the same kind of workout as when you are carbed up you know, so by trying to have control when I train I will as a result, maximise the results from it to have a good workout. because the more lifts you have under your belt the closer you are to your goal
What messes up your lifts and are you like me and have to be a bit carbed up before too? |

Sleep for me. If I have a terrible night's sleep, I know that I won't have the energy for a decent training session so I don't even bother and just try to get an early night.
That or a rammed gym where every piece of equipment I can or want to use is occupied, and I end up doing some weird bastardised version of what I planned 😅

I work shifts so my training schedule is all over the place but I find working out around 1 hour after breakfast and a strong coffee works best for me.
The thing that messes my lifts up the most is the fact I work a physical job and my muscles are always fatigued. I honestly believe I’d be lifting a good 20kg heavier on all the big 3 if I didn’t have to work and had plenty time to recover properly. |

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest |
Currently, nothing as I sort it before going to work. A 6:30am start implies waking at 5:30 which I'm managing consistently.
The real test will come with the winter months when it's pitch black outside, cold and raining. I need to steel my resolve to not waver!😅😁 |

Everybody wants to be a bodybuilder but don't nobody want to lift no heavy ass weights.
If the bars not bending you're just pretending.

"Maybe you’re posting on the wrong site? 🤣🤣
This be the lounge.
Anything goes, so I think he can post what he likes as long as it’s within rules. "
I was hoping this was a sex or dancing related lift thread!
Worrying about being dropped messes up my sex lifts. But dancing I don't worry enough 🤷🏼♀️ |

I once had a guy mess a lift up. It was snowing really hard and I saw a guy walking in the snow, so pulled over to give him a lift. He absolutely stunk of and I had to febreeze my bar to death when I got home |

Yes, having a physicsl job is fatiguing for the muscles, that is good you have found a time to workout, as you work shifts too |

Not being warned up sufficiently is a major issue, which can happen if you're not careful and cool down.
I also get out of sorts, if my ordering isn't followed and then don't get the best results.
Time of day affects me, so I'm as near to 100% at the same time.
Lack of sleep like is usually followed by a substandard session |

Similar to you shagtonite training outside of my normal time seems to ruin my workout, I generally go for about 8pm on a work day but if I have an unexpected day off and go early afternoon I regret it every single time seem to go a lot better later on with more food and fluids in me
Also depends what I’ve been doing all day my hardest/heaviest workouts are scheduled at the weekend to avoid fatigue from work but sometimes if had a hard day at work it can have a knock on effect some days can be easy driving digger or laying blocks others can be hand digging or breaking out concrete ect |
