Awww it's disappointing, but use it as a learning experience - ask for feedback on the weak areas and then figure out how to close the gap /overcome it.
It might also just be that you need more practice x |

The last interview I ever attended was such an unmitigated disaster that I still come out in a cold sweat thinking about it.
Sometimes these things don't go our way. It's useful in as far as you know you're not suited to the role so wouldn't be a good fit.
Lick your wounds and in to the next |

"Do you actually know you’ve failed it or do you just think you have?"
I think I have, it was a “verbal reasoning” test I struggle with those at the best of times, that coupled with it being a timed event 30 questions in 19 minutes made a difficult task even worse |

Well you fail everything you don’t try so all the above advice is good, a tip for the future not just for you but for everyone reading this, use AI, you won’t ever ‘outsmart’ the application but if you say use Gemini or download chatgpt and then start asking the sort of questions you think you are going to face, take notes, keywords are the winner |

That's a bugger, I do hate these online tests. Especially when in all other areas you (at least think) you seem to be pretty qualified for the role.
Much prefer doing a test at the actual interview - for example a typing test - than these online ones. I do think companies look at the results and offer interviews based on the score and not necessarily a combination of that plus CV. I've flunked a couple and never heard back from positions I'd think I'd have a decent chance of getting an interview for if it wasn't for said test. |

Exactly this. I always leave a test and focus only on what I didn't do, but you'll have got loads right too! Good luck! |

I've hired a lot of people in my time. When I've worked with companies who have had this as a mandatory part of the recruitment process I've used the results not as a pass/fail, but as a prompt for interview questions.
Fingers crossed for you, I hope you get a positive response no matter the results of the test. |

You basically have to know why they ask that question, suppose if you really wanted that job you would read up on online questions but I guess it's a very difficult, I'm not a lover of anything online it wastes so much time ,so I wouldn't have applied for that job I'd much rather have a face to face interview. So bad luck just go for the next one and maybe study a little beforehand. |

It's just a filter to make sure you can comprehend basic English. Don't worry about it. You say you flunked it but to be fair you've flunked nothing until you get an real interview invitation. That's when you know to take the prospective employer seriously. |

And most companies with right policies will do exactly that. I did the same whenever I was involved in recruiting anyone. |
