Yes you read that right, I’m in the supermarket, won’t tell you which one as you lot can be judgy but anyhoos

a) no one smiles in the supermarket, you should be happy there’s food there.

b) testing melons is what chefs do, animals in the wild do it too because they need the sugars, the fruit in the supermarket is not even close in terms of nutrition therefore you don’t need to do it, there’s no science to it, you are wasting your own time, looking like a fucking clown and touching all the fruit in the process, now I’m raging

Ok.

I thought we were sitting melons behind a little melony desk and giving them an exam paper.

Thanks for the advice… I’ll remember not to feel my melons in the supermarket in future

Hey, my Nan - who grew up in the tropics - said you can tell when a melon is ripe with a little press, so I'm going to take her word over yours.

Besides, what's the big deal with touching a melon - no-one's eating the skin!

I thought it was a pre requisite to any shopping trip to give the melons a bit of a squeeze.

Bonus kudos for doing the clown honk honk sound at the same time

You knock on a melon to test it.

You don't squeeze 🙄

This. And you should check the size of the "nipple" at the bottom.

Maybe while you’re there you could get some decaf?

Let others enjoy their pathway and you can truly be free

Is it the same principle for cucumbers, aubergines and (if you're really lucky) butternut squash??? 😉😂
