Here is as promised our fab bake challenge. Say you are in and what your bake will be. It can be a cake, a pie (sweet only), a tart etc. It must invole baking so not anything like a triffle but for example a baked cheesecake is fine.
Entries must be declared from now and no later that 8.00pm on Tuesday 27th Aug. At that point I will post the full list of all those that entered.
Once you declare your entry, please bake and photograph your masterpiece. I believe the picture may have to show partly you in photo for it to be approved.
All photos must be uploalded by 8.00pm Friday 30th Aug.
To vote please DM me your top two choices any time after 8.00pm on Friday 30th Aug when everybody has uploaded their pic which must make sure has been made public or better still set as profile pic. Voting closes at 8.00pm on Sunday 1st Sep with results being announced straight after.
Thank you and good luck. Lets see your baking skills at their best though participation and having fun is what matters really so funny shape cakes are allowed.  |

Thankyou. I admit previous attempts at that haven’t gone… well  I think the clue is in being conservative. It’s currently sitting above the oven whilst it’s on and I shall have to ice once it’s cooled anyway so I’m hoping that will be enough time for it to no longer be a solid block but we shall see |

Cut the butter block into smaller chunks and then place in a metal bowl that’s been heated up with boiling water. My mixer has a metal bowl so it works a treat for me when I’m in that position.

Thank you to all the amazing entrants and all those gracious people who voted. Voting was slow to start with (not bad though considering it was not bums, willies or boobs 😀) and really picked up in the last hour or so with many trying to beat the deadline of 9.00pm.

So here are the results and congratulations to all of you whatever place you ended at. Great fun, good sportmanship and participation and well done to all. You are amazing and what pleased me was to see that every single entry got quite a few votes and it was all pretty close and so many ties.

"Here is as promised our fab bake challenge. Say you are in and what your bake will be. It can be a cake, a pie (sweet only), a tart etc. It must invole baking so not anything like a triffle but for example a baked cheesecake is fine.
Entries must be declared from now and no later that 8.00pm on Tuesday 27th Aug. At that point I will post the full list of all those that entered.
Once you declare your entry, please bake and photograph your masterpiece. I believe the picture may have to show partly you in photo for it to be approved.
All photos must be uploalded by 8.00pm Friday 30th Aug.
To vote please DM me your top two choices any time after 8.00pm on Friday 30th Aug when everybody has uploaded their pic which must make sure has been made public or better still set as profile pic. Voting closes at 8.00pm on Sunday 1st Sep with results being announced straight after.
Thank you and good luck. Lets see your baking skills at their best though participation and having fun is what matters really so funny shape cakes are allowed. "
