The forum used to be frantic and post's would fill up in under an hour, unpopular post's would be on page two or three in no time, there was always beef and the entertainment value was far greater,
Pre lockdown.
Although some post's are popular it does in general feel far quieter and dare I say more civilised.
I actually preferred the forum when it had a " wild west" feel.

"It’s boring now. We need more chaos."
Right? People are just living life on easy mode on here atm and it's not got that thrill*.
*I kind of like that it's gentler and less chaotic at the same time. Less bitchy. |

It was very entertaining, very inclusive, very personal in a familiar friendly way and so much fun.
To me, the forums, whilst having a faux civility about them seem to have moved away from adult interaction to juvenile pass times and faux 'be kind' types of love ins.
Everything changes and not always for the better. |

"It was the best of times it was the worst of times. "
A tale of two cities, Dickens. Classic opening line.
“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.” |

It was complete anarchy when I first joined…although it was about 5/6 who (thought they) ruled the forums and if one off them had a go at someone, the others would gang up.
It’s much more milder now for sure and not many posts worth commenting on.
Somewhere in the middle would be good.

I returned to the site a few months back after a long time away.
I was surprised how little activity was in the forum compared to back then.
It has become a little sanitised and was a little more “Wild West” back then.
The forum was only used by a small percentage of Fab users and it seems that percentage has got smaller.
Shame as they can be big part of the Fab experience. |

Added a touch of wild west for you all. Both with my profile picture and bean farts. Not sure how well they travel though... |

I don't think it was about mud slinging, but it was definitely sharper.
There was a lot more wit involved, and maybe that was the eventual downfall of those that... didn't make it. RIP.
I think it's just a safe haven for mediocrity right now. A few people will come along with the energy to shake things up again. A fresh lens and perspective to ignite it a little. |

Surprised people didn’t cotton on to what they were doing 😂 |

That still happens. It creates content but not good content. |

Strange thing was they were totally different to their forum personalities.
I don’t know all the players on here yet so I will have to keep an eye out.
The status shuffle and the Xmas username change was always fun |
