I'd absolutely love a vintage motorbike. I've saved up enough cash to buy one but I've never ridden one and I would probably die within a week if I did. I use my weight issues as a reason to not get one yet. |

I went to buy a new mitre saw and bench as it was on offer.
Looked at it, the box and all the necessary information, went for a coffee, came back, sold.
What a dopey cow I am !!
The lovely assistant trawled around all the other branches and found another, drove there and now I'm the proud owner of a new shiny saw and bench.
Didn't make the same mistake with a chainsaw, bought on the spot.
If anything isn't fixed down, it gets a piece of chainsaw action.

What's stopping you buying that lingerie set? Someone to wear it for? |

I’m terrible Joe.
If I see it and I want it I’ll just buy it and work out how to pay for it later…
It’s not very sensible really and does cause the odd stern word from my wife . |

Nope, that's not an issue. I keep telling myself when I lose x amount of weight. And it always shifts. They're probably going to stop making it before I'm truly happy with myself. |

Currently, not having a functioning bank card is stopping me.
Before that, it was because I spent payday starting to book up tickets for things over spooky season and don't want to leave myself short for the month.
Before that, nothing, I was going hog wild on buying up fun things for spooky season.
Next month is definitely new shoes month though 💜 |

Yes, I chickened out last minute. It's currently a perma-open tab. Has been for some time. 😁

I was very recently browsing in the fragrance section for a new scent and I discovered the most amazing scent. It's for women though, and I only realised after trying it. It's definitely made me stop and think if I should buy it. That and the fact it's over €250. |

I do that with almost everything I buy haha, I recently bought a pointing gun for jointing up our patios we install after putting off for 3 years due to it being 350 quid. Had I actually bought it 3 years ago it would have paid for itself several times over as it’s so fast lesson learned sometimes being a tight cunt isn’t good haha |

I will do. Wearing older shoes because I've been trying to be good and not keep buying new shoes is exactly how I lost my phone and now don't have a functioning bank card. This can not stand. New shoes soon.
But yes. Horror events at abandoned theme parks. Dressing up and getting rowdy to terrible Halloween music. Too much sugar and pumpkin spiced everything. I fucking love spooky season 💜 |

What is it you’re stalling over old thing?
I have two things. First, I want to rip out my bath and put in a huge walk in shower. Keep feeling I should pay off the mortgage first.
Second, I want a new wardrobe. I haven’t bought any new clothes I really like for a few years but I’m making myself get back in shape first.
Might do both next year. |

Excellent points! I love how you’ve spent the evening talking everyone into spending their dorrar but haven’t yet spent yours hahaha.
Could you maybe save half this month then buy them next month? That’ll give you a couple of weeks to consider how much you want them while lifting at the gym. Then, when you get them, you’ll know you need them and didn’t blow all the money in one pay packet. |

Yeah, difference between using plates and shoes is huge. Adipower 2s I have, can pick them up for ~£80.
1 of the watches I don't wear, it's an investment piece. The others I just rotate. |

I've been looking at Nike Romaleos but the Adipowers seem like a good idea as it's more for comfort in lifts than doing serious powerlifting.

I rarely have spare funds for big purchases, the washing machine went to scrap heap in the sky (well it's still in my kitchen) the other day, brakes need doing on pay day so the washing machine will have to wait another month, even if we do have spare cash left over as if we get one, we can't do other stuff in the month as want to do, so hand washing, using the machine at work and the launderette will do for now x |
