I used to look forward to Rant Thursdays. To see a long well thought out diatribe on something that's been niggling for ages, until it spills out into the forum in a huge stream of bile.
What do I find today? A couple of lines about how much someone hates Thatcher, masquerading as a rant! What. The. Fuck.
This is how you do a rant morons. You alienate half the readiership immediately, usually by calling them morons or another colourful term. There's just no point in doing it if people don't immediately hate you.
Then for fuck sake at least have a point to make other than just spouting inflammatory views for the sake of it. You don't see people standing up in parliment and saying "Thatcher, what a cunt" and sitting down again do you? No, they'll spend ages calling her a cunt in a roundabout way and then sit down to applause. You've got to give people something to work with and explain why she was a cunt in reasoned terms.
And for the love of god have a point to it all otherwise it just sounds like someone complaining like a little girl with a grazed knee. "Oh and then this bad thing happened and then that bad thing happened". Sort it the fuck out, take the bull by the horns, "then this bad thing happened and I took the person who did it and bitch slapped them for all to see, then the second bad thing was so scared it ran off pissing itself and crying for it's mummy!".
So enough of this lame pseudo-ranting. Get some anger and hate, bottle it up for a few weeks, find your words then unleash the fucking hounds.
Next Thursday I want some proper shit here or I'm gonna visit each and every one of you, and you'll feel the lead weight in my handbag.

this all ties in with my totally unscientific conclusion that the lack of angst and anger in the current climate..
a marked decline in such feelings generating cultural expressions of same is apparent by its absence..
almost like apathy has taken over..

A political rant:
I am not a Thatcherite but I accept that she changed this country and her death will be marked. What I do not accept is Parliament being recalled early for an emergency "debate". It was not an emergency as her funeral plans had already been decided. It was not a debate but a giant memorial service. That is what the funeral is for.
I object to our parliamentarians wasting 7 hours talking about a woman who has not been in office for over 20 years. The world, economically, militarially, or any other meaningful political way, upon her death.
If the time had been used to debate something of political worth and urgency then the recall would be justified. This was a recall based on how much airtime each individual could garner.

That was good lickety. Could have gone on longer and called Cameron something inventive. Also could have commented on how he appeared to generalize when he said "No-one wants to see industries owned by the state". That's the bit I went off on yesterday.

The speech that really made me want to be sick yesterday was that of the MP Conor Burns....
This fool spoke about Thatcher like he had served in her government, like he was a close confident of hers....he wasn't, he was only elected to parliament in 2010 and had never met her before she started to suffer from dementia. He was Seven years of age when Thatcher first became PM.

A personal rant, with several parts but one central issue:
It is unusual for me to rant about single men on this site but the last few weeks I have been let down for so many meets I am now ready to vent my frustration.
I have set my age preference but will occasionally go a couple of years outside of my age range for some men that interest me. Why then after going through the communication phase on here and I give my number do they then lose interest and not call when agreed? Worse still they then call late one night and suggest a booty call meeting. I know I should change my practice now and not give my number and take control. My rant on this one is just bloody man up and say you've changed your mind.
The other part of this is also about finally relenting after a long chase, at which point they then don't meet.
My rant is, why on a swinging site is treat them mean to keep them keen necessary? I am a simple, straightforward human and enjoy flirting but not game playing.

Nothing has changed since last week when she was still alive. People who hold whatever feelings they have about her had them then and still have them now. The respect argument for me was actually better handled by the Argentinians than any of the grandstanding and criminal activity here. |

My actual opinion on Mrs thatch?
The she created two of the problems that blight so many lives right now: the social housing crisis and the generations who have no other way of life than benefits.
By selling off social housing stock and not fulfilling the promise to use the money to rebuild her government condemned future generations to get stuck in a housing trap where there is no reasonably priced rental accommodation to enable them to move out of parents homes.
As for the huge ghettos of people who lost work dues to her policies, they have become the ghettos of benefit dependant generations who have never worked and know nothing other than state handouts.
To recall parliament and spend ten million on her funeral is obscene and offensive. Especially since the current government is oblivious to the fact they are trying to clean up her mess and blindly praise the woman.

I agree with that assessment. I would temper is slightly with the work Heseltine did on her instruction and which he is now having to repeat. The cuts to specific regions and localities being disproportionately larger than other wealthier areas was too deep and too soon at the start of this government. Heseltine's proposals will help a little but it is now rebuilding rather than maintenance and development. |

My rant:
My fucking laptop hard drive broke I'm going back to PC world later to see if I can get the hard drive back.
If I can get the data restored that includes pictures of a threesome that are very explicit and also work stuff which I've made a list of what I've lost.... Including my fucking year end finance ready to be sent to HMRC in January as a self assessment.
I'm fucking knackered, I miss J and EVERYONE on Facebook seems to be having babies at the moment or talking about babies.
My mother is having a birthday party at the weekend which I have to go to and it will be full of her political friends talking about Thatcher... I've had enough about hearing about fucking Thatcher!!!

Well I normally have mine delivered to home, far better option, however I prefer to choose my own fresh veg that I don't get at the butchers and today was near on impossible to even get near green beans lol

This is how you do a rant morons. You alienate half the readiership immediately, usually by calling them morons or another colourful term. There's just no point in doing it if people don't immediately hate you.
Then for fuck sake at least have a point to make other than just spouting inflammatory views for the sake of it. You don't see people standing up in parliment and saying "Thatcher, what a cunt" and sitting down again do you? No, they'll spend ages calling her a cunt in a roundabout way and then sit down to applause. You've got to give people something to work with and explain why she was a cunt in reasoned terms.
And for the love of god have a point to it all otherwise it just sounds like someone complaining like a little girl with a grazed knee. "Oh and then this bad thing happened and then that bad thing happened". Sort it the fuck out, take the bull by the horns, "then this bad thing happened and I took the person who did it and bitch slapped them for all to see, then the second bad thing was so scared it ran off pissing itself and crying for it's mummy!".
So enough of this lame pseudo-ranting. Get some anger and hate, bottle it up for a few weeks, find your words then unleash the fucking hounds.
Next Thursday I want some proper shit here or I'm gonna visit each and every one of you, and you'll feel the lead weight in my handbag.

I have spent the last 48 hours puking and sleeping. I look like total shite and I feel like crap.
One of my playmates (not from here) wanted to hook up and I texted back explaining how sick I was.
Did I get a nice "get well soon" response? Did I fuck!
IM SICK! I do not want to "play doctors and nurses" and I don't want to be "kissed better"!
