OP, the law says you must not display any visible representations that are threatening, abusive, or insulting to a person of reasonable firmness outside your dwelling; and they were likely to suffer harassment, alarm or distress.
In other words, of course you can be naked in your own home but if you flash more than could be reasonably seen in public you risk criminal action. |

Nothing wrong with being naked in your own home. Just don't stand in front of the windows or leave your curtains open when the lights are on after dark. People shouldn't be looking in your windows other than a glance but if you're obviously trying to attract attention to your nudity you've crossed a line in my opinion |

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being naked in your own home, as long as you’re not deliberately flashing yourself to passers by. Also, I imagine it would be quite difficult to flash your bits when people walk past if you were stood at the kitchen sink etc, unless you’re stood in front of a full length window that faces the street. In that case, maybes get frosted glass or some window blinds... |

As long as your not stood in your window by a street with your cock out you should be fine, obviously making it obvious to the outside world you are naked wouldn't be the best idea.
Blinds/curtains etc all help.
But yes of course you can be naked in your own home.

"I regularly am at home naked, but keep the curtains closed as children about That's the reasonable and responsible thing to do. I'm always walking around the house naked,
Mrs x" reasonable and responsible are both qualities I have and it is for pleasure not theirs unless the people watching are ok with it too. I have had people round the house before all naked. |

Is it likely that passers-by can see you?
If so, then please take precautions so that people don’t see you fully named. Children, in particular (you mentioned families).
I love walking around my own home naked, but I cover up in parts of the house where I know that I am visible from the road, as I would hate to upset anyone or attract unwanted attention. |

Criminal activity and “absolutely fine” aren’t the only options. Several shades of grey in between. OP seems to be suggesting that they are visible or passers by, including children. This is quite different to accidentally or inadvertently being seen, or prying eyes nosily looking in a window. |

It's similar to sex or dogging, in that the behaviour isn't inherently largely criminal but the intent of the people involved is - as well as the reaction/effects of people who may view you. I'm not a law expert. In the worst cases, unlimited prison, time on the sex offender register etc could occur. For having a naked male chest on display, that's not going to occur.
I'd probably close my blind, so that nobody can unintentionally get to see anything. We don't become immune to the law, just because we are on our own property. |

The CPS guidelines for how to handle naturism are here: https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/nudity-public-guidance-handling-cases-naturism
TLDR: you are basically fine unless you are a _really_ pushing the boundaries. Doing the dishes naked doesn’t count as pushing the boundaries. |

Technically there is no law about anyone being naked anywhere in a public space.
Have just googled and CPS have guidance.
Basically you are free to express yourself anywhere.
But if you harass, alarm or distress other members of the wider public it’s a crime.
Anything sexual is probably an offence.
Pretty sure same law applies in your home, if your standing in your window having a wank watching passers by that’s going to get you a visit from a PC or two.

There is a common law offence of out raging public decency which can be committed in public view even if you are in a private place.
It was codified as soldiers came home from the Nepoleonic wars, when without work they demonstrated by exposing themselves to ladies.
There have been several updates over the years but basically if you have no intention of causing offence and are not engaged in a sexsual act or simulation of an act you are safe. If you was around naked by a school expect to be arrested.
On a personal note I stay on nudist beach or very well hidden away. |

Think about other people instead of yourself and you should begin to get a good idea as to whether it's 'okay' to put children in this position.
Then go and learn about laws surrounding nudity in public and the safeguarding of children.
What people on here 'think' about it doesn't count for Jack Shit.
Learn the law of the country for your own good and the good of the children in your neighbourhood. |

Not sure if this has been mentioned already.
There is no law against being nude under English law (Scotland may be different).
It only becomes a crime if you are engaged in sexual activity, or you're causing harassment, harm, or distress.
So wandering around your own property (where there is a legal presumption of privacy) naked. No problem.
Having a wank, sex, pissing etc in plain view. Different matter.
If you're running up to your front window to shock people by exposing yourself. Then you'd be in trouble.
When teaching my kids about nudity, it's about bodily autonomy and consent. Being naked isn't wrong, but other people haven't consented to see you naked put some clothes on.
Same as teaching them that it's okay for them to say they don't want to be kissed, hugged or touched, even by relatives.
For those going, 'But think of the children!'.
The person staring into another person's home is the one at fault. While good taste may encourage us to have blinds or net curtains, it's good manners not to go around staring through other people's windows (and can also be an offence eg Voyeurism) |

Perhaps you could educate us all and share your learning on the law of the country for the good of us all? |
