How many people would take a chance and either say hello or reply to a message if they weren't interested just by reading a person's Bio? I would think a human being certainly has more to offer than just a few paragraphs on a page.
How can you show another person your are genuine if a Bio is the only way to express yourself to begin with. |

It’s a mix of profile text, message, type of pics and any status for me.
If the text is poor, the others will have to be bloody good to elicit a response.
… or looking for fun for example will never interest me enough to reply - if you can’t make the effort we’re not compatible. |

My meaning to it is I am sure use receive so many rude messages and I know I don't do this, so to stand out against so many messages I am relying on someone just saying that hello back. I get your point regarding the bio |

Being better than people who send rude messages is such a low bar.

"It's called being proud of how you where brought up and knowing your own worth. Being a gentleman is something to be proud of."
Ok, cool.
But anyone can claim to be a gentleman. I believe it when I see it.
I could claim to be a PhD astrophysicist. Similarly, you should probably doubt my claim until you see some supporting evidence. |

A human being is certainly worth more than a few paragraphs on a page. However that's all we have to work with on here along with pictures.
Very few people walk into a room full of strangers and talk in depth to each of them to find out about their character, they look at their appearance and gravitate towards the ones who attract them. |

Please forward your CV and appropriate certificates (LinkedIn profile is not sufficient).
Thank you |

You mean saying I am something on the internet doesn't make it true? 😭 |

For me a bio is a little snapshot that’s all. Do I want to take the time finding out more about this person. Their pics, bio and status all play into this for me.
What someone wants and doesn’t, maybe a little bit of personality added in.
Blank profiles with little to no bio are simply deleted by me. If someone can’t be bothered to put the effort in to write a couple of paragraphs about themself then why should I make the effort to reply to them. On the few times I have, it’s never led to meeting the person as our wants and needs a have been so different that we are totally incompatible.

Hey OP, you've come in for something of a hard time with this thread so far.
A bio is important. It's about the whole profile. You might know that you don't send abusive messages etc, women won't necessarily.
Of course people have far more to offer than a few paragraphs but that's what you've got to work with on here. So, make the most of it. You don't need to show that you're not not like other men, draw comparisons etc. Just show you. |

Or determine their net worth by looking out for the Vacheron Constantin watch, the Zegna suit and the Berluti shoes |

Exactly the for us could not have put it any better.
We use the bad profile bad initial message that usually consists of hi,nice pussy or anything else crude or crass,as a very effective filter.

"Why would you not give it your best shot by writing a bio that will elicit attention?
If a woman receives tens to hundreds of messages a day, why would she "take a chance"?"
Honestly, I function on that basis here. I rarely message for that reason, I mean it probably won't even get read, if it's one amidst hundreds. Exercise in futility.
I think some women either get fed up filtering the messages and fancy a change or just like to be proactive and take charge.
I seem to get on well with those women, even if it doesn't happen all that often - still a more optimal approach. |

I reply to every message I receive regardless of their bio but my reply will match their approach.
I don't judge on bio alone otherwise I might actually believe that certain are amazing individuals when obviously they aren't.
The second thing I look for in a profile is consistency between bio, pics, verifications and forum contributions. |

It's the nature of the beast.
I try to take an overview of everything a profile presents but I don't have time to get to know countless people better. That might be harsh or unfair but it's just how it is.
Oftentimes it's just a case of the right person messaging at the right time. Do some great guys fall through the cracks? Undoubtedly, but I can live with that and it's not a reflection on them or me |

I'm not a million miles away from this approach. However, I don't read - let alone reply - to every message that I receive. I will look at their profile first and, depending on whatever I glean from it, will determine a response, or not. |
