"I've never played one "
Me also. Never had the slightest inclination.
In fact, other people's obsession with the gaming possibilities actually put me off getting involved with early computers at all.
Someone enthused to me about playing tennis on an early computer. I explained that I don't even want to play real tennis, why would I want to play it on a computer? |

Not into computer games but my hubby wrote loads of computer games in the early 1980s, most of them on the Sinclair Spectrum.
His games were published by various different software companies and featured in all the magazines of the day, some even being the front cover for the magazines.
He says the first computer game he played was Pong.
He still plays games today on his Xbox. Never grew up haha,

This thread has been an eye opener for me. I had only heard about, but never even considered playing, computer tennis, Mario and Donkey Kong. Had no idea that so many other games were taking up children's and adult's time.

They need to redo first one in 3rd person then go 5 or cv.
I'm gonna be quite now
If they capture the claustrophobic feeling that the RE2 Remake had in the Police Station it’ll be superb. 👌
I’d like to see Capcom play around with different time periods too. I always thought a Zombie survival horror game set during the Black plague of London would be interesting.only game to come close I think is silent hill"
Another classic. Although I’m not sure about the Silent Hill 2 remake. Looks a bit meh.
Not sure if you guys have played it but Alan Wake 2 is a great survival horror game. Completely bonkers but well worth playing. |

Jet Set Willy
That's my earliest memory of playing a computer game. I'm must have been about five or six and brother let me play on his Spectrum ZX.

"Resident evil on PlayStation
Resident evil gave me nightmares as a kid. The Zombie having a good old nom on the STARS officer at the beginning was genuinely terrifying.
Needs another remake.
Yup this all the way,

I remember lemmings (when it was good!) and some stuff on our old Atari we had, I know it was with the joystick but for the life of me I can't remember it's name, gonna bug me all day now.
I never played an actual games console until I was about 15/16 and it was my friends SNES, I think we played mario kart and then I released j get motion sickness 🤦 |

It would have been on a Commodore VIC 20, but whether it was frogger, blitz or Pacman I really can't remember. What I do remember was loading it from tape which could take 10 minutes. |

Oooh good question….. console and in an actual arcade are 2 different answers
On a console…. Daley Thompson’s decathlon on Atari 2600
In an arcade…. Namco’s Pole Position and Sega’s super Monaco GP
And then I found the true love of my life…. Outrun! |

If this goes into a part 2 I’ll have to tell you the story of how a “really cool but slightly geeky” person wowed a huge crowd playing outrun |
