I read the thread title in Professor Farnsworths' voice. That made me smile. 😁 |

Was in a car crash, came out of it with whiplash, bumps, bruises and sprais. It could have been worse. |

It feels like Autumn.
I've lost 7lbs since the start of the month.
I've managed to get a table at a Michelin restaurant that's doing 1994 prices. Considering there were only 129 covers, I'm beyond happy.
The people in my life. Their happy. My happy with them.
I can now walk in some heels I bought. |

I had to chuck my old winter coat a couple of months ago after finding it (and the cupboard under my stairs, and almost everything stored in it) riddled with mould.
I work for the NHS, so my wages are crap, and I was worrying about the cost of replacing it. I'm bloody fussy with coats too, I hate 99.9% of them. They are either hideous, uncomfortable or both. The other stuff I either salvaged or can buy back gradually and is no big deal.
Well, I saw a coat in the window of a charity shop a few days ago, brand new with tags. Black wool, beautiful buttons, fur trim, mid calf length, fits like a dream literally everywhere and is quite tailored.
Under a tenner! Googled and should be over £200 brand new. I almost feel like I should go back to the shop and give them a bit more for it. But the other half of me says if they can't spot something worth a bit and price it accordingly then it's on them
I'm not usually a charity shop person but I almost want the weather to turn so I can swan around in my fancy new coat |

Date with a lovely lady tomorrow by the seaside. We’ve been chatting for quite sometime so hopefully it’ll go well.
The best part is, we know that we will definitely be friends even if there’s no spark. As she said we have too much in common not to keep in touch. |

A supplier finally signed off on a big contract today and I’ve got our comms team to agree to help us publicise the details via an internal channel they’re very cautious of using.
Also, my parents have been married for 49 years today and that’s kind of cute. |

I finally managed to sell something that I no longer need and has been taking up a significant amount of space. Counting that as a double win - freed up the space, and some extra spends for my hol next week. |

My husband didn't wear suncream last week on holiday. I had sprayed a small bit on him as a joke and that evening he was red apart from that bit which had stayed white. My daughter said next time I should write I and then draw a penis underneath it on his chest.
I simply love her mind and how much she takes after me. Even at the tender age of 9 |

I had a lovely birthday yesterday
Saw some tiny humbug wild boar piglets this morning on the other side of the river from my garden.
The trees are just starting to show signs that autumn is coming, absolutely love the colours of the forest in autumn. |

We've had paramedics staying at the hotel for the past 4 weeks while they do their training in the ambulances, we usually get them staying and always ashame when they leave, the day they get their results I always make sure I'm working so I can find out, yesterday I gave them all a treat from the treat box and I came in today to see they got me some chocolates. Made me smile, I have given them to the rest of the staff as I can't eat them, ya know, calories 😂 |

Last weekend I swam my first mile. When I started a few weeks ago I was resting every four lengths, now I can do 64 without stopping. So chuffed!
And the following day I had a fun social with someone I really like.
And tonight I did a mile in only 40 minutes.
And my little Buddha-belly is shrinking because of it. Woohoo! |

Our bikes both needed repair & mine a serious overhaul.
The bike shop stripped gear shifters, replaced brake cables, removed rear cassette and deep cleaned, freed up the suspension, made adjustments here and there... £20 the lot - And they finished the job early (quoted Sat)
Beyond happy!

Our eldest passed all his exams this week and we’re not only incredibly pleased for him but the pride we both feel in him achieving this goal after missing so much school with covid etc will last a lifetime. |

Woke up alive and healthy in a nice warm bed. I have an inconsiderate stomping neighbour above me who makes me want to cry sometimes, but I smile knowing that one day I can sell up and leave, don’t know when, but one day. |

Received an e-mail from a complete stranger about something that I do creatively.
The suggestion that a band I love might be about to release new music.
Finding a record I would normally not have bought due to cost reduced in a sale. |

I normally procrastinate terribly, but this week I’ve organised my upcoming medical appointments, sent parcels back that were approaching the deadline to be returned, had the dog for her annual check up at the vets and got all my loose ends tied up at work. |
