A organised cycling Tour of Wales has been shortened and rerouted because of woke 20mph cycling laws. Bizarrely, although the push bikes are not restricted to 20mph, the support vehicles are not allowed an exemption to go over 20 and would be left well behind these cyclists. What's going on here? It's all over the news |

"'woke 20mph cycling laws'
Do you really know what woke means, or do you just use it to describe anything that is new/different or that you don't like?
The bloke is an idiot, deliberately stoking offence in a pathetic attempt at being relevant.
Best ignored."

Could have been a French-Welsh dual national cyclist with a proclivity for sharks and snakes |

I thought that this law had since been rescinded, and some, not all were to revert back to 30mph?
In a closed road race situation , speed limits don’t apply, as the road is closed.
Is this an actual race?

"A organised cycling Tour of Wales"
Is it a tour,as in same sense of Le Tour de France,an elite cycle race,or a tour as in a sightseeing touring holiday on cycles ?
If its the latter, could the cyclists not go at the speed the support vehicles are only allowed to reach as a maximun, problem solved |

"But these buggers reach 20mph
Why are they not booked by the Chief of Police ?"
Mainly because bicycles don’t have speedometers so the law does not apply to them. It does to the support cars though.
Probably a non-story, as it must have been similar in previous years? If you’re in a cycling race and you can’t crack 30mph it’s not looking good for a win. |

Race organisers failed to apply, in time, for road closures meaning the roads will be open to other traffic.
Tom, I suggest you don't drive in Wales this weekend. I doubt the cyclists will be using the cycle lanes. |

No wonder Tom doesn't cycle if he has ground his gears. His bike is buggered! |
