Sainsbos ftw! I cut 35% off my monthly grocery bill by not being influenced into snap purchases in the shop. Worth the delivery cost IMHO and I've usually had OK dates on most things. Substitutions can be... Creative. Asked for spring onions once. Got daffodils.

Did picking for home deliveries in Sainsbury’s at the start of lockdown. You had a set time to pick everything and unfortunately you where tied to the suggestions. You had a list of maybe 10 things you could use as an alternative and they ranged from helpful to useless. It all depended on what stock was already on the shelf at that time unfortunately

I thank you for your service! 😂 Generally the subs are OK. In the scheme of things, it's never the end of the world. More important things to worry about than quinoa vs Bulgur wheat or whatever. Just sometimes they made me laugh!

Usually Morrisons, via Amazon, because I can find a £15 off voucher and it's free delivery and arrives the same day.

Tesco delivery has gone up loads.

I remember subbing Tunnocks teacakes for Wagon Wheels once and thinking how annoyed I'd be if that was me 😄

Around the Midlands

Only during lockdown when we tried both Tesco and Asda (Tesco was better and gave great substitutes).

Now still prefer to shop in person

I usually go Asda. I enjoy doing my big shop as long as I don’t bump into people I know. I want to be in and out, no time for yapping 🗣️

Sainsbury's and Iceland. I cannot be doing with big supermarkets. I attend Aldi and Lidl in person 👸👑

I don't. I prefer to choose my own produce, and not get landed with the dregs.

I hand enough years of suppliers trying that one on in my pro kitchens.

Hey, that means I am (was) a professional male!

We go to the actual shop for fruit and vegetables.

If I just need a freezer top up, then Iceland is good but the fresh stuff I like to choose myself, so I can rummage for the best stuff with the longest dates

I don't, except I've had Tesco Express deliver a couple of items for family and once for myself, as they're very quick.

Saisnburys, Morrisons and Asda don't deliver in my area so it's Tesco or nothing.

We don't have uber delivery or any other kind of quick delivery for groceries.
