Up or bottoms down?
Do you prefer to look after the rim, or are you more concerned with making sure the inside is nice and clean?

Interesting. We're a bottom up household, never had a problem with the rim.
I suspect your Edinburgh crystal glassware refracts the backlighting better bottom down.

Oh, I have no concerns for the rim. I simply wish to extract the glassware from the cupboard without having to expend ½ a calorie flipping it over. |

On little rubber mats with holes so air gets to them.
If you store them bottom down and don't use them regularly.....dust!! "
A mouthful of dust is the last thing you want when you put it to your lips for the first time in a while.
