Good morning all, would love to get to know new people outside the realms of my normal day to day.
I find there’s not much crossover in my interests/social circles and would love to know what kinds of people are on the other side of some of those sexy profiles!
Drop me a line about yourself, where your from and what are your passions - I look forward to hearing from you! |

Hello
We live by the sea in Sussex, currently living our best retired life.
We do a lot of things for which we have way too many tools and supplies so we're having a major 'tidy up' which involves moving stuff from one place to another.
How about you op, where are you from and what are your passions? |

That’s awesome, definitely living my dream I lived by the coast for a few years when I was a teen and always wanted to move back in my adult years.
I am from southeast London, and have lived around-about this area, give or take a few years, most of my life.
I am a competitive fighter and spend most of my free time training for that in one way or another, a lot of the time I’m with really good friends, so it doesn’t feel like work after work all of the time I don’t think I will ever be professional but I’m good enough to enjoy it at least |

Forest of Dean |
Hey OP
I live in the Forest of Dean. That means occasionally wild boar break into the garden. It is stunning here though, just going for a walk in the forest makes me relax.
I keep chickens, ducks and parrots…and a goose called Gary Goosey. Yes it is noisy 🤣 but I wouldn’t change it |

That is awesome! Love to hear if lives outside of the monotone city! Wild boars sounds amazing, I have seen less than a handful in my life - how truly blessed one must be to be surrounded by such awesome nature! |

We live on the Norfolk Roads on a boat. Been here 5 years since I retired at 60 and we love it. Debs has a long commute but works from home a couple of days a week. I now work part time in the homeless sector which I've always been passionate about but couldn't have afforded to do it as a career.
I also keep bees (not on the boat obviously) which is something I've wanted to do since pre-school age. |

That sounds amazing, what kind of boat is it? A canal boat or the other kind? (Forgive my ignorance on boats!) have always enjoyed the idea of the lifestyle - especially the canal boats!
Homeless sector sounds rewarding, and difficult without a doubt - how did you get into doing that? |

The boat is a cruiser, sea going so not a typical broads boat.
I got involved with rough sleepers volunteering in London. When we moved up here I looked for volunteering opportunities in Norwich and it grew from there. |

Awesome, and you live full time there? Was it something you had to transition to living in or did you just do it all in one swoop kind of thing?
That’s really admirable on the volunteering, and to have turned it to your passion and kept it growing is truly epic, I give you the utmost respect for the person you have become - having slept rough at points in my life I can honestly say it’s the kindness of folk that really gets you through. So from my former self and current, thank you for the things you do x |

For the first 6 months I was up here full time and Debs stayed in Essex during the week and just came up weekends. |

The biggest adjustment was the downsizing part. We have got a storage unit nearby were we keep things like winter clothes during the summer and vice versa.
Other than that the other thing we have found is that initially our idea was we would be able to cast off on a Friday and spend the weekend bimbling around the Broads. Unfortunately, when you live aboard, this isn't as easy as it sounds. There is too much "stuff" that would need to be secured, a freezer full of food that needs shore power etc. etc.
Next year, when Debs can retire, we can look at moving into a flat and keep the boat for what it's meant for. |
